“I picked up the San Matías Legado Blanco from Total Wine & More in Northern California on the 22 of September 2024. It was priced at $17.99, and was claimed to be additive free by staff and signage, it does have a statement of 100% agave on the bottle. On the nose you'll get ethanol and cooked agave. The palate has a slight sweetness, (but nothing that screams additives) there's also notes of pepper and earthiness, with cooked agave on the finish. I originally bought this bottle because I wanted something affordable to use in a Cosmopolitan cocktail infusion bottle I got at Home Goods. Overall this is a good value if you're out camping or throwing a large party. I'd purchase it again if it was in the need of an affordable tequila.”
