“This was the first really nice XA in my collection. It is damn near perfect. Aged beautifully, tremendous depth of flavors. I have also since purchased a bottle of Tears, NOM 1146 also. I can see why people say to buy a couple bottles of this over 1 bottle of tears, even though both are fantastic. This is the highest rated tequila I’ve ever given. ”

“Thanksgiving 2024 Aroma - delicious cooked agave smell. Does smell a little hot, but I just opened the bottle. Flavor - strong agave flavor as expected. Mineral, sweetness. Finish - long finish, ”

“11/24 - Whisky Tango 63 Aroma - sweet agave, slightly more alcohol aroma, probably due to being higher proof @ 46% Taste - just like it smells! Hits the tongue and it’s a sweet cooked agave hit. The higher proof has a little bite but makes for a long finish, that is delicious and lingers. I don’t detect a ton of depth, but in fairness, I only let it sit for about 8-10 minutes after I opened the bottle. It’s good, not great. Looking forward to trying it again to see if it changes. ”

“The nose is somewhat disappointing. Very light. Gotta put your nostrils deep into the glass to get a light whiff of cooled agave and hint of oak barrel. It was a new bottle and I let it set for about 30 minutes before tasting, but there’s a good chance it opens up a bit by the next sip. The taste is actually quite nice. Smooth, spicy, sweet, oaky. It’s a bit sweeter than I expected, but in a pleasant, not over powering way. The finish is solid and the flavor lingers on the back of the tongue. 60 is a decent price point for this repo. I would definitely keep this on hand in my bar. ”

“April 2024 Bought at Macadoodles on recommendation from Lukas. He pulled out of the back for me. Around $74. Aroma is a sweet cooked agave. Possibly the best nose I’ve experienced on a blanco. Initial taste is sweet, which is no surprise after the incredible aroma. There is a mineral, earthy flavor, and as expected, a strong agave flavor. I detect notes of floral or light herbal as well. The finish is long and strong with the agave just lingering on the tongue. Overall this is one of the best blanco tequilas I’ve had. ”
