“Funky, mineral forward, full-bodied, easy to drink. I still can’t buy/ find this brand in my area and had an opportunity to have a few tequila sodas on American Airlines (finally added tequila to their liquor lineup!) and was surprised as to how good this was. I took one of the mini bottles home to sip on it neat and like others said, it does remind me of Cimarron, but not in a bad way. Definitely has character and so much more flavor than tequila I’ve ever been served on a plane. ”

“Honestly one of my favorites for margaritas and other mixed drinks. It’s cheap and super easy to find. Usually the same price or cheaper than Hornitos/ Cuervo etc but 100x better. Would not sip on this tequila and isn’t my favorite for tequila sodas but if company wants a shot or a margarita, I’m not breaking out the El Tesoro/ Tapatio/ Ocho. Anyways, clean agave smell but not a strong one. Definitely alcohol on the nose. I think the finish is very clean too, no astringency compared to other cheaper tequilas. ”

“Mmm earthy, cooked agave, mineral-y finish. An “agave bomb” for sure, this tequila is one of my favorites. Sipped neat, on the rocks, as a ranch water, in a margarita, or in a paloma, it’s so good. Shines by itself and in a mixed drink, this was the tequila that made me realize what I had been missing out on for years. Same NOM as Tapatio, but there’s something off/ bitter/ less pleasant where I prefer El Tesoro so much more. Pricing of this is weird in my area. 750 ml bottles are around $55 US but I can usually find 375 ml bottles for $20, so I just buy two and call it a day. ”
