Barrel flavor is subtle but detectable, and people who dislike barrel flavors will probably notice the difference more, but for me it just tastes a little more mellow than the blanco. I’d say it’s smoother and more preferable for just about any purpose.”

“Orange, caramel, vanilla, and agave. It’s labeled as a reposado but I’d say it’s much more like an anejo due to how rich the barrel flavors are. It tastes a bit more like a whiskey in a lot of ways, which sort of overpowers the agave. Not enough to make it unpalatable, but it defeats the point for me — I want agave to be the first flavor, not the last. It’s okay to sip, but not great. The more you sip it the more watered down it tastes. Maybe it’s good for people who don’t like tequila, but I feel like there’s better and cheaper ways you can achieve that, like drinking bourbon.”
