NOM 1480 | Nicely balanced Reposado. Sharp Flavors of sweet caramel and spice, medium mouth feel. Nice finish

  • 82 Rating

NOM 1480 | Nice nose earthy and good cooked agave tastes is a nice sweetness vanilla cooked agave cinnamon and some herbs. Nice finish but it is short 1480

NOM 1480 | Aroma has a kinda oaky earthy sawdust over a layer of sweetness. It initially reminded me of Codigo and I wasn’t surprised to then realize this is another Amatitan tequila. Flavors open sweeter than the aroma with a pop of vanilla followed by some grapefruit rind, cinnamon and clove. Nice little tingle for an 80 proof. This one is NOM 1480 and it stays in the same lane as some of the other organic tequilas I’ve had from 1480.

NOM 1457 (La Quemada). Fruit, butterscotch, nutmeg, cinnamon, agave, etc. Very clean and complex. Phenomenal line if you can find the original. Bottle from 2007.

4 Copas Reposado has Vanilla, caramel, coconut, and cooked agave are prominent, with hints of herbs. Flavor is sweet and soft notes of cooked agave, vanilla, and coconut are present on the palate. The finish is moderate to long and pleasantly bitter, with accents of oak, pepper, and spiced.

extremely light repo. vanilla, peppery. a little sweet but not too much. basically a light version of the Anejo. however, it got sweeter as I sipped more. It's not as sweet as Tierra Noble Anejo though.

NOM 1522 | Aroma is caramel and agave with hints of vanilla. On the palate it’s caramel and agave.

NOM 1480 | Not a bad product at all! Fun flavors but depending on the price could be a poor value (imo)

NOM 1480 | Nom 1480: Soft vanilla on the nose. I also get alcohol aromas in the background. The oily mouthfeel helps the vanilla coat the mouth. There is also the beginnings of some heat/pepper. This finishes with more vanilla sweetness and the heat becomes more cinnamon. There is a slight alcohol burn if you let this linger to long. I think the sweetness would become off putting if one were to have to much of this in one setting.

Gentle body, Good Aromas but the finish is lengthy in the warmness. make up in the flavor not something we can complain about

  • 80 Rating

Really decent. Cooked agave and charred oak on the nose. Straw, earth and butter in the mouth. Slight white pepper, carmel and minerals in the finish.

  • 82 Rating

NOM 1480 | Hint of vanilla on the nose. Very delicate flavor profile with some vanilla, caramel and a slightly sour finish with medium heat.

This is my standard bearer for reposados. Agave, oak, vanilla, cinnamon, pepper, Smooth heat, great legs, heavy on the tongue and a lingering finish. Bottles can vary from a pretty white-hot Reppo to an unbelievable "Are you sure this is not the Anejo?" Either way, it's all good.

Review #179 - 4 Copas Tequila Reposado

Great distillery. Some of my favorite tequilas are made there. It's a brand that's beloved by tequila lovers and often lauded for its authenticity and complexity. I like those things, so let's dive right in.
