Very nice HP. Agave right up front with some citrus, little mint and a nice cinnamon and pepper finish

Yeyo Blanco 96 High Proof (48ABV) That 1414 agave forward nose is very present but so is some nice bright zesty citrus, mint, light anise, and a hint of cinnamon. The alcohol vapors deliver the aromas nicely. I’m thinking that fermenting with fibers was a good idea. Let’s taste it. That oven-cooked agave sweetness is front and center. It’s naturally sweet but it’s also dense and buttery. The flavors linger and then the spice kicks in. It has a subdued roasted jalapeño vibe going on along with some white and black pepper. The anise from the nose shows up and there’s some pleasant palate numbness from the 96 proof. Overall it’s agave sweetness and an earthy spice. There are some good bubbles from the pour and the legs and tears form and hold nicely. The price I paid was well worth it at around 65 USD. Go grab a brick or two!

Nose: The nose is fresh with sweet cooked agave front and center. Underneath, there’s a soft minerality (think wet clay) layered with delicate floral notes, bright citrus, and a crack of black pepper. It’s clean and really well balanced. Palate and Mouthfeel: The mouthfeel is slick and light but still manages to coat the palate nicely. Sweet cooked agave comes first, with a creamy vanilla note that edges toward ripe banana. There’s also a burst of fresh citrus that brightens up the profile and keeps it lively. A crisp bell pepper note and a gentle black pepper spice follow, though the spice is a little more dialed back than you might expect from a high proof. This leans toward the (naturally) sweeter side but keeps enough freshness and lift to stay really interesting. Finish: The finish builds slowly with a soft, growing heat that’s pleasant and controlled. Toward the very end, there’s a slight astringency, but it doesn’t distract from the overall experience. For its ABV, this is impressively smooth and incredibly easy to enjoy. Final Thoughts: A beautifully made, easygoing high proof that leans sweet but stays bright and balanced. Wildly enjoyable and dangerously smooth.

Tasted at Agave Bros Blanco 2025 event. Very cool to sit and talk with the brand owner JB about the drive through bar/liquor store in Arandas. He showed me pictures.

A very easy sipping high proof that has no burn. Tons of sweet cooked agave on the nose. The flavors are surprisingly not what you would expect after nosing. Nose: sweet cooked agave, citrus, mint, earth vegetal, grass, and minerals. Palate: sweet cooked agave, black pepper, mint, anise, lime citrus, vegetal, and brine. A medium to long finish with a buttery mouth feel. A very enjoyable high proof at a great value. Plus points for the price point.

This is fantastic! Tons of cooked agave sweetness with layers of green vegetables, salinity, black pepper and a hint of mint. Awesome nose and finish. Really well done.

Tasted at Sip Tequila Fest Very similar to the base blanco, and although the value proposition isn’t as enticing as the blanco, this is a very tasty well made high proof from the Los Altos region. Tons of citrus, brine, mint, and cooked agave with subtle cinnamon & minerality on the back end.

Very subtle agave nose, really have to put my nose in the glass to get much. Palate has a nice pepper that follows through on the finish. It’s decent

Tons of Minerality with a hint of cooked agave sweetness at the end with a bit of white pepper and lemon lime. Really nice and is in a great spot at 96 proof. Tried neat, but can’t wait to put this in cocktails.

Vessel: Chisholm Trail High Proof Jarrito Nose: Agave, Yeast, Mint, Thyme, Floral, Mouthfeel: Full-bodied, Oily and thick. Palate: Sweet Melon, Agave, Citrus, Finish: Melon, Mango (tropical fruit in general) Agave, Black Pepper, Anise. What a treat! I got a bomb of agave and tropical fruit mostly. Highly viscous texture and feel. This was full of flavor and really drove the fruit home. For this being as high of a proof as it was, the spiciness of this was kept to a minimal. Not only is this a lovely tequila for seasoned tequila fans, but it's also a great introduction for those who are just dipping their toes into HPs. High marks from me!

Sampled at Monterey Tequila Fest. Will have to revisit, but—really nice! Revisited with full glass: beautiful citrus aroma, with some citrus, pepper, and brine flavors. Not a lot of layers but what’s there is tasty. Good to sip and these flavors would make for a great citrus cocktail (Marg, Paloma, Ranch Water).

Yeyo HP Tried at Sabor aug 2024. Not yet on TMM 48 abv fermented with 3% agave fibers. rested 60 days in S/S Tried again at home Oct 26 2024 Neck pour. Waited and let open 20+ mins, slowly sippin in a high-proof jarrito glass at 6pm (I'm tracking the type of glass, what time of day i do the tasting and how long I let it open - just because I'm weird like that LOL) Nose: first sniff there was mostly pepper and alcohol with some minerality, and as it opened i got citrus & floral notes, some cinnamon and even some mint Palate: first taste was not as expected based on the nose. Palate is sweet cooked agave, some pepper and tropical fruit, banana, melon, some anise and mint, yeast Finish: Nice, sweet with some mild pepper/heat that lingers Overall: very nice sipper that gets better as it opens. I recommend letting this sit 20+ mins so u really enjoy the complexity I will revisit in a couple weeks and update my review as appropriate

Nice sweet nose of agave. Minty with aromas of anise, fruits and citrus. Taste is of cooked and raw agave. Buttery note with brine and citrus. Taste different than you would expect after nosing. Very nice finish with good viscosity. ABV works very well with this one.

Nose: sweet agave / citrus / fruit / vanilla / bell pepper / tea / nutmeg / earth TASTE: sweet cooked agave / anise / vanilla / peppermint / cinnamon / banana / melon / pear / lime/ tea / minerals / earth / cream soda Finish: a low viscosity mouthfeel and a lingering trio of sweet agave, anise, and cinnamon/peppermint. That sweet and spicy profile are standouts in this attack on your palate. This HP blanco is nearly a cooked agave/anise bomb...not quite over the top levels, but absolutely enjoyable and crushable. Huge bright crisp taste notes immediately let you know the higher abv is lifting up the taste notes a couple notches. Has a good bit of balance, though the peppermint/cinnamon/anise notes are definitely the winners in this final swallow.

Mint, grass, herbs, subtle sweetness, maybe orange/peel. Lots going on here but it's all low key and balanced. A beautiful high proof blanco.

Batch 1 Bottle 1213 Aroma: light nose, brine, citrus lemon. Clean Mouth: slick feel, nice light heat up front, very clean brine with a mellow cooked agave sweetness, citrus glides around in it. Easy sipper, no lingering harshness anywhere. Short finish. Overall very very nice. I’m liking it a lot. Cheers Sergio Cruz

I found a very clean aroma taste and finish. Just not quite complex enough especially for a hp. I let it open up for a long time and didn’t get much of a change. Definitely agave cooked and raw notes dry earthy notes and pepper. That was nice but not much else. Not sure if it was just me but feel coming from 1414 could have been more complex. Yet all in all still good and additive free

Lote YEYOBCO24140 220426 08:25 10/09/24 Aroma: stewed juicy agave with some white pepper and sage and a slight minerality Flavor: absolutely bursting with baked agave with a kind of purity in the sweetness and the mild spice and wet stone Mouthfeel: medium to full body with a surprisingly light alcohol burn for a high proof blanco Finish: the alcohol burn drops off quickly, and then agave sweetness lingers and finally it ends on a deliciously spicy note Color: clear This is a fantastic high proof Blanco that sips incredibly well. I'd place it up there with the best HP Blancos made.

upped my score. the more i drink it the more I like it and the more I find. this is the first expression of yeyo that I've tried and wow! nice and complex. nose I get anyone of cooked agave with lime, cinnamon, pepper, apple, and fresh rainwater. palate offers something different with it's silky mouthfeel: agave, a hint of smoke, butter, olive brine, minerality. some white pepper. a gorgeous finish with lingering anise, orange pith. just a very naturally sweet flavor profile with very pleasant salinity. minty, too. this one's a winner. not surprised coming out of 1414.

Yeyo HP…here we go. So, I tried first without looking at anyone else’s tasting notes. Then I checked notes from TMM and tried to compare to what I’d detected. Nose: Cooked agave and citrus like lemon zest. Minerals and bit minty. Am I the only person who initially caught a faint hint of smoke? Just me? Palate: Sweet agave then pepper and mint with that same citrus from the nose. Some minerals and maybe cinnamon with a nice peppery finish. Really like this. If makes want to come back for more and is well priced to boot.
