A really good Código! What a nice aroma! Good barrel notes and some sweet agave. Taste and finish is where this one gets going for me. Lots of layers of flavor developing overtime. Initial barrel, notes of vanilla and caramel mellow to roasted agave and baking spice. Then there’s a layer of dark fruit. The finish is long and good. Baja Betty’s single barrel
Aroma has a medicinal off-putting note that I can’t get past. The rep says it is fermented in a way that promotes the malolactic. I agree in that it has a yucky funk (name of my college band). The finish continues with the over- funkiness. No thanks.
