Tasted this at Pueblo Viejo in Carmel NY with the NYNJ Agave club. I thought this was excellent, delicious cooked agave and citrus notes. Love the 45 ABV … a nice mouth feel and a long pleasing finish. Salud

Sample from pepe Nose funk/butter/malolactic, mint, brine, cinnamon, pepper, fruit, agave. Complex Palate is sweeter than nose. I really like the flavor. Not as malolactic or briney as nose. Lots of sweet agave, some alcohol and a pepper fizz at the end. You can tell it's from 1599. I deducted a couple points for price - I was told it's $150

I was given the opportunity to taste this new offering out of the Atanasio distillery a couple of months back. This blanco gave me a lot to enjoy at the time. The nose was herbaceous, had rich citrus, ample amounts of cooked agave and some funk. The palate was pleasant having cooked agave front and center with citrus, wet grass, light pepper and earthy tones. The finish was mid range, and Antología’s viscosity was middle of the road. I don’t often comment on the bottle, but I really enjoyed the presentation. The artwork is beautiful, and the color palate tasteful. As much as I enjoy this offering there is one glaring problem, the pricing. For me, the pricing just doesn’t make sense. Yes, this is good juice and there is something to be said for the gorgeous bottle. I would happily pay 70 USD for the whole package. Unfortunately, the asking price for this 90 proof blanco is an overstated 150 USD putting it in a precarious position among super premium blancos. Fuenteseca, Ocho Puntas, special Cascahuin releases, Siete Leguas 7 Décadas & even Volcan Tahona occupy this space. Frankly, I do not think Antología competes with any of these options. The value proposition simply is not here and the growing trend of overvalued blanco tequilas in the industry is disconcerting.

Aroma: rápido se siente láctico [queso], agave, picoso y un poco cítrico Paladar: se siente más o menos lo mismo pero se siente bien chévere ese sabor láctico, frutoso, grama y agave

LOTE ANT1/923, tasted on 1-16-25. Aroma: cooked agave with a hint of sweetness, light minerality, light earthiness, hint of fruitiness, hint of raw agave, hint of green vegetal notes. Hint of lactic note. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, good sweet and sour balance, although it feels slightly thin for a 45% abv., mineral sensation is more intense on my palate and through my retronasal. Finish is medium to almost medium long, light cooked agave, light green vegetal notes with minerality persists.
