Barrel heavy on nose and palate

not much agave but nice barrel notes

Something special. Delicious notes of sweet cooked agave layered with vanilla, caramel, light spice, and great barrel notes

Sampled at Distillery visit Sept 2018 with Sergio G.

Aroma on this one seems much different from earlier years. Sweet fruit is much more subtle and buried beneath barrel oak and a pine/cedar note. Flavor opens with a peppery spice that is softened with fruit sweetness. The finish has a slight bitterness and is medium length. This one is hard for me to rate. The aroma is outstanding but the flavor is pretty middle of the road. I really want to love it but keep winding up at average. 12/24/2018 - 6th Annual Xmas XA tasting

15 años cosecha 2006, 43.5% abv. version, bottle FBA0000, tasted on 7-30-24 in Tequileña’s Don Fulano social club. Color: yellow to dark yellow. Aroma: light cooked agave, light resinous sweetness, light fruitiness, light wood note, light vanilla, white pepper spiciness. Light acidity, light citrus. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, white pepper with fresh wood note is quite fresh & not cloying. Good sweet sour and citrus balance. Minty. Finish is medium to long, hint of cooked agave with fresh wood note, hint of mint with hint of white pepper spiciness persists.

Strong aromas of agave. Similar to a repo but again price drops the points.

Aroma on this one is different to the earlier aged ones a little notes of agave and oak really stick out Taste is peppery to start then a fruity taste takes over Finish is medium but smooth Tastes a little like a whiskey can taste the wine notes from the barrels though!

It’s not a particularly bold XA but it is fascinating creation. viscous yet light. not overpowered by oak personally I don’t trend on preference. This was quite enjoyable

Very enjoyable Tequila. Barrel notes are prevalent, agave , spices.

Great stuff with notes of cooked agave, pepper, caramel, dried fruit, citrus, and a little chocolate on the very smooth finish. Have this in between 8 and 12 year olds, 12 year old wins with its bright and bold flavors.
