If you like bourbon, this is the tequila for you! Barrel treatment is leading the charge, not a ton of agave left, very dry finish.

Tons of barrel notes and wood. Definitely a bourbon / whiskey drinkers friend. Not bad but quite a bit of agave was lost. Easy to drink though with minimal heat

Big fan of their repo and like their xa. Felt for some reason the Anejo fell short of my expectations. A little harsh, over powered by the wood.

Sweet but not overly sweet. For the price I expected a more complex range of flavors and aroma but didn't find that. A solid tequila middle of the road tequila.

This is a 35% version I bought at Costco in Mexico. Nice amber color with oily legs in glass. Aroma of oak, caramel and slight alcohol. Could be because I just opened the bottle. Flavor of cooked agave, oak and vanilla with a hint of sweetness. Pleasant, medium finish.

sweet buttery nose, clean ethanol flavor is smooth and whiskey like but fresh.

The bite of alcohol is the most consistent on any Añejo that I have had. Present on the nose, the tounge and tapers off nicely in the finish. The nose has agave and spice, as well as a metered caramel and vanilla presence. The taste of this brings the complexity out as the flavors have light spice notes that range from pepper to barrel spice which accompanies subtle barrel infusion from the bourbon barrels I assume this was aged in. I will be replenishing this expression as it far outclasses the EA.

Oak & carmel with butterscotch on the end.

Nose : sweet additive sweetness smell , alcohol , agave , fruit and floral Taste: flat into woody sweet lingering taste with an oaky aftertaste . Leaves a lot to be desired . Nice presentation and decent price gives it a boost .

Soft on the nose. Cake batter, cooked agave, vanilla, banana. Light golden color. Medium mouth field. Sweet, agave forward,. Nice lingering finish.

At 68 bucks a bottle this is very disappointing tequila. Can't get any positive distinguishing smell out of this and the taste is not much better. There is so much out there below this price point that is tremendously better. The taste I can only describe as a weird off-putting chemical taste. I can pick up no agave flavor only what others describe as oak (which I don't think so being a bourbon lover as well as tequila) it is some kind of chemical taste.

Too much oak feels like there could be something in this tequila to manipulate the flavor.

The wood flavors come across strong. Strong agave flavor. Small bites of caramel and vanilla. Overall a very good anejo.
