“Aroma: Strong on the nose. I get grassy/vegetal notes along with some sweet citrus. Slightly astringent. Flavor: I was expecting something similar to 7L (snap peas/fresh cut grass) based on the aroma but it’s completely different. Incredibly smooth, lots of cooked agave, smoke, toasted marshmallow, slightly floral. This one is incredibly complex and not like anything else I can think of. Finish: Super smooth. That extra 2% alcohol definitely gives you more flavor but without the extra kick. It hangs around but in all the right ways.”

“Aroma: Very unique aroma. I get a lot of mineral notes (clay, wet rocks) and also mint, cinnamon, and flowers. Not something that I've ever experienced before. Flavor: Very smooth for a high proof tequila. I still get a lot of the mineral notes and a lots of mint. There's almost a buttery flavor as well. Finish: Incredibly smooth. I'm surprised it's high proof because there is no burn but finishes really smooth and hangs around.”

“Aroma: Lots of oak but not overpowering. There's also a bit of cherry and almond. Overall, very smooth. Flavor: Lots of pepper and mint, as well as, some oak. I was hoping for more sweet notes but it's still solid. I think this is something a whiskey drinker would love. Finish: Very solid. It hangs around for a while and definitely not too overpowering. ”

“Aroma: Lots of oak, cherry and vanilla. It smells incredible. As it opens up, there's a little chocolate as well. Flavor: Slightly acidic, and definitely tastes a little high proof. Some caramel and oak kick in later and the cherry comes back around. Very solid Finish: The finish is strong and the slightly higher ABV helps. Definitely worthy of the 80th anniversary.”

“Aroma: Incredibly floral with a hint of oak, leather, coffee and vanilla. This one falls between the 2007 and 2008. Definitely a little more on the aroma than the 2008 but not quite as much as the 2007. Flavor: This one is very mild. Slightly Briney with a bit of vanilla and caramel. Not as flavorful as I would like but still really solid. Finish: Nice smooth solid finish. Hangs around for a minute and leaves behind some nice flavor.”

“Aroma: Much more mild than the 2007. There's a slight bit of caramel and vanilla and also some red apple. But, not as fragrant as the last. Flavor: Lots of pepper with a bit of oak. Some vanilla starts to come through on the finish. Again, much like the flavor, it's very mild. Finish: Some smoke on the finish but still not a crazy finish. Fairly mild but comparable to the '07.”

“Aroma: Definitely the best aroma of the line. Strong notes of oak, cooked agave, toasted marshmallow and caramel. Flavor: Lots of oak. Finishes with some caramel and there's also a bit of smoke. It's fairly complex and nice. Finish: Not quite as solid as the blanco but still really good. Nice and strong and definitely hangs around.”

“Aroma: Oak and smoke. There's a very minimal hint of vanilla but this one definitely has a lot of the barrel influencing it. Flavor: Again, kinda weak in the flavor department. Almost tastes watered down. I get a bit of that oak as well as the vanilla. Definitely feels like it's lacking a bit. Finish: Takes a step back from the blanco. Not as nice as before. This one is a bit mild and I wish it had some more power behind it.”

“Aroma: Very light and mild. There's a bit of pepper, raw agave and is slightly medicinal. Wish it was a little more powerful because it's really hard to pick up any notes. Flavor: Mild at the front but builds a bit. There's definitely some mint and pepper but it doesn't feel super complex. Finish: surprisingly the finish is really nice. It's really the only part of this tequila that is bold.”

“Aroma: Incredibly flavorful aroma. I get butter, berries, caramel, oak, mint and cooked agave. Definitely going the flavor is as complex! Flavor: Slightly bitter, lots of oak, and a bit of caramel. Probably too oaky for my liking but I can see where some people would love this tequila. Finish: Nice strong and solid finish. Definitely better than the Blanco and Reposado.”

“Aroma: Much better than the Blanco. It's definitely not as harsh. I get butter, pepper, oak and a slight bit of chocolate. Flavor: Not as complex as the Blanco but still solid. I get some butterscotch on the front and it finishes with a bit of cooked agave and pepper. Finish: Very smooth. This is a great Reposado. The finish hangs around for a while and leaves a lot of flavor.”

“Aroma: Fairly harsh. A definitely medicinal quality upfront with slight hints of bell pepper, banana and green apple. Unfortunately the harshness detracts from the more pleasant notes. Flavor: Much more pleasant than the aroma. Cooked agave, vanilla, and pepper are all present. Very smooth and easy to drink. Finish: Very smooth and hangs around for a bit. Definitely a solid finish!”

“Aroma: Fantastic! It's less sharp than the Reposado and packed with notes. I get butterscotch, oak, leather, honey and a slight bit of smoke. Flavor: Again, not as harsh as the reposado but it almost tastes watered down. I get some caramel and oak but it's very mild. I was hoping for a flavor bomb but it's really light. Finish: Even though the flavor is mild there's still a decent finish to this one. It doesn't bring a ton of flavor with it but definitely hangs around.”

“Aroma: Very sharp (almost like a high proof tequila) but beyond that is a ton of butter and butterscotch. Smells incredibly sweet. Flavor: A lot different than the aroma. There is a bit of sweetness (caramel) but it's got a bitter note and also slight rubber flavor. Not what I was expecting based off the aroma. Finish: Light to medium. The flavor really falls off and that bitterness is left which isn't the best.”

“Aroma: Very similar to the Blanco and Reposado. I get a lot of medicinal harshness at the front. Behind that is a bit of butterscotch and mint. Flavor: Not a ton going on. It's sweet. Lots of vanilla but besides that there isn't much... I was hoping for something a bit more complex. Finish: A little more mellow than the Blanco and Reposado. It's still solid but definitely less harsh.”

Definitely some oak and finishes with some vanilla. Not at solid as the Blanco but not terrible. Finish: Again, a very solid finish. A little harsh but hangs around for a while.”

“Aroma: At first, the strongest note is very medicinal. Behind that I get a bit of vanilla, agave and pepper. The medicinal note softens over time but it's still pretty harsh on there nose. Flavor: A lot smoother than I was expecting based on the nose. Lots of cooked agave and pepper. Finish: A little harsh but lingers for quite a while. Not perfect but far from terrible.”

“Aroma: Very strong aroma. Lots of oak and caramel but also a ton of berry. Reminds me more of an extra Añejo than Añejo. Flavor: Lots of oak. Definitely not my favorite flavor in a tequila but whiskey drinkers might enjoy this. I was hoping the berries would come through in the flavor but there is a bit of caramel. Finish: Solid strong finish. Hangs around for a while. I'm so surprised this is so bold when the Reposado was so bland.”

“Aroma: Definitely get some of the same bitterness in the aroma as I did the Blanco. It also has some caramel and oak but both fairly faint. Flavor: There's some oak on the front but the flavor falls off really quickly. It almost tastes like it's 35% ABV (it's 40). I'm really shocked. The bitterness is completely gone but not much going on in the flavor. Finish: Again, not much going on here. Wish it had the nice finish like the Blanco did.”

“Aroma: I get a lot of raw agave, some pepper, clove, cinnamon and orange. A very bright and floral aroma. Flavor: I get a lot of pepper and agave but there's a slight bitterness too. It doesn't completely kill the flavor but detracts from it a bit. Finish: Nice and solid. Lingers for a while and leaves some solid flavors.”

“Aroma: Really unique. Very bitter. I get a bit of pine and mint but there is a scent that overpowers everything and it's not the best... Flavor: There's a bit of vanilla and caramel but again there's a note that overpowers everything and it really kills the flavor. Finish: The finish is the best part about this tequila. It's nice and smooth. The flavor mellows in the finish which doesn't hurt either.”

“Aroma: Initially lots of butter but after it sits for a second some cherry and caramel. There is also a slight hint of oak. Flavor: Slightly bitter. Definitely some oak on the finish in combination with vanilla. There is a bit of pepper on the front which balances it out well. Finish: Solid finish, definitely hang around and leaves a lot of flavors in the mouth. Definitely the best finish of the line.”

“Aroma: Very light but I get notes of caramel and vanilla. There's also a slight bit of oak. I'm kind of surprised due to the fact that there's so much sweet aroma in a reposado that seems to not be aged super long. Flavor: A lot less sweet than I was expecting. There's a bit of vanilla but I almost get a rubber taste. The vanilla masks it on the finish but there is a definite bitterness on the front. Finish: Because it's slightly high proof I feel like it's a bit stronger on the finish which is nice.”
