Tierra Azteca Añejo
“Lean for an añejo. Light. Doesn't reach as deep as some others (tasted it next to Orgullo) but extremely tasty nonetheless. Buttery, bittersweet oak, long agave finish. When I heard how much it cost, I was doubly impressed. Would buy again. ”

Olmeca Altos Reposado
“Nice for the money. Decent complexity, quite vegetal. I think I like the blanco better. Still, their mission statement was making a 100% agave tequila built for mixing and affordability, and on that mission they totally succeed. The only knock against it, for me, is that it doesn't stand out. Outside of the vegetal insistence, it doesn't really stake a claim for itself. Or if it does, its claim is value. Still — good tequila. ”
