Surprisingly, this is relatively easy to sip on. The reason is, there's just not that much going on. Seems very one dimensional and didn't yield many other opinions that "yup, that's a reposado." I taste the barrel and just enough agave for it to be considered a good effort. I have nothing "Bad" to say about this tequila. It's an excellent mixer and could be a satisfactory sipper, unlike the OA blanco.

The aroma is buttery with caramel and agave. Alcohol and brine emanates as well with earthy peppery watery notes. The taste is agave forward with caramel, brine, honey, pepper. A pleasant reposado and worth the price.

I definitely like this more than the blanco, and at $21-25, it’s very well priced imo. The cooked agave is there on nose and palate, that grassiness I get from the blanco is rounded out with a little caramel and oak. Decent as a sipper but very good in a margarita or Paloma.

Bought to try and use in barrel aging project. Paid USD27.99 in January 2021. Aroma is somewhat herbal, which is nice, but also has some alcohol, which is not so nice. It reminds me a bit of 1800 from a long time ago. The nose has some nice things going on, but also some undesirable characteristics. First impression is that this is a decent reposado, in that the agave is more present than oak, probably due to use of large casks and/or short aging period. Flavor is inoffensive and subtle, nothing wowing though. This could be sipped, as a result. Oak characteristics are minimal, but round out the harshness (not much) of the blanco. The price is right, but you also get what you pay for.

Aroma : Cooked agave, oak, vanilla. Some pepper and cinnamon here as well. Taste : Some agave presence, caramel, cinnamon, not as much oak as I would expect from the aroma. Some black pepper as well as nutmeg and anise. Finish : Medium length with caramel, cinnamon, and orange flavor. More agave and very light pepper here as well. This doesn't have as much of the "green" flavor the Plata has, something I could do without, but I wish the flavors were more pronounced here.

Really punchy, I would definitely recommend this for making cocktails, it scratches an itch that not many brands do(boozy and agave forward).

I don't get why some esteemed fellows tequileros are so lenient with this juice. I could taste the artificial-chemical vanilla sweetness even when mixed in a Jamaica Marg. Not for me, I don't care at what price!

Aroma: This one is very briny. It almost reminds me a bit of an olive. There is also a hint of oak. Flavor: The flavor is a definite surprise. I was thinking it was going to be a bit salty but ended up being much more peppery. I also get a little hint of oak Finish: The finish is pretty mellow and not too exciting. It falls off pretty quickly.

This tequila is definitely delivering a bang for the buck. It is priced low enough that it could be used by bars in cocktails, but I can drink this straight with no problem. The aroma isn't bad, but it's not my favorite part of the experience. The flavor is just loaded with sweet delicious caramelized baked agave, and the finish delivers a long and pleasant creamy vanilla treat. I am shocked that they can create this level of tequila at this price.

Nice agave flavour without over being powering. Vanilla notes. Vegetable and sweet fruits. Very strong in mineral type flavours. Very clean and crisp tasting. Like a summer tequila.
