“Nice strong aroma of cooked agave with jalapeño, vanilla, cedar, and corn syrup. Flavor, some initial heat up front which subsides into agave, cinnamon, chiles, then warm vanilla, black pepper, a touch of anise then a heated finish. ”

“Aroma of straight from the horn cooked agave with trails of cedar, pine, and clean straw. Flavor of nice strong agave with mint, cinnamon, vanilla, and though I've never tasted cedar, cedar. Beautiful expression without coming across overbarreled or tannic. A lighter Anejo for sure but holds it's own. ”

“Aroma of really nice scent of cooked and raw agave, perfect, not too faint and not too overpowering. Additionally hints of leather, cedar, menthol and mineral. Flavor of a nice balanced agave bomb, caramel, light brown sugar, and a really pleasant finish. Have tssted Jovens and made my own (who doesn't make their own single glass blends, right?) but this is a well balanced and blended marriage of the Blanco and Repo. Price was high, yes but I'd pay it again for this one, minimal points deducted for price. I know I'm rating higher than most but some personal preference overshadows impartiality on this one. Great sipper, your finisher for the night. ”

“Aroma doesn't floir you and is a bit faint overall but you can definitely pick up agave with pear, lemmongrass, licorice, and mint. Flavor is agave, licorice, vanilla, black pepper, heat, green pepper, cayenne (but that's probably triggered in my head from the heat, marshmallow, and herbs. Yes it's hot, it but crafted really nicely. ”

“Aromas of agave, wet straw, lemongrass, cedar, and sea air. Taste of agave, black pepper, jalapeños that longers all behind that burn that everyone's describing, it's pretty heavy for a 40%er. Overall hots right in the middle between old school flavors and new stuff. ”

“Aroma of agave, cracked black pepper, vinyl. Flavor of agave and up front burn with slight black licorice, cotton candy, and white pepper. All flavors are well balanced but subtle. Expected more but is ok for what it is. ”

“Aroma of cooked agave up front and serious with a tinge of vegetal, vanilla, cotton candy, and very slight ginger notes. Flavor of agave, licorice, vanilla, black pepper and slight green pepper. Viscosity is a bit too watery for my personal preference, akin to Mijenta but still hokds flavors to the finish. ”

“Aromas of straw, cooked agave, vanilla and cedar. Flavor of sweetness up front that segues into cooked brown sugar, light oak, and cooked agave. A pretty good expression of a reposado balancing the wood just right. ”

“Aroma, cooked agave, pepper, spice, light sandalwood, vanilla. Flavor of agave, brown sugar, light oak. A definite spiciness with some anise and cinnamon. Finish is hotter thsn the blanco but helps even out the wood. ”

“Aromas of cooked agave, sugar, light wet soil, and floral spice. Flavor, a real slow easing into a balanced, complex, medley of agave, light mint, minerals, pepper, and the faintest trace of green/jalapeño pepper in the finish. A real work of craft and next level maturity/complexities of tequilas as a whole and helps set the bar higher industry wide. ”

“Aroma at first scent, freshly cracked without letting it open very long is of a blend of suede, white spice gumdrops, and oak. Lighter notes that waft are of pine, butterscotch, peach and pit fruit, oak and cooked agave. Definitely the longer it opens up, the more oak becomes prevalent with spice in the background. Flavor is initially a light lactic heat that dissolves into white pepper up front followed by heat and then by oak and cooked agave. Finish is stronger on the cooked agave but the heat and pepper comes back around. While complex and balanced it definitely loses points on the price point. It's a $250-$300 bottle all day long and very nicely crafted but at $500+, there's others that I'd enjoy 2 bottles of as much or better and not feel apprehensive to consume or feel the need to have to bow and salute to them each time I passed my shelves. ”

“Aroma doesn't fight fot your attention but you can discern agave for sure witg light lime, cinnamon, and sugars. Flavor is a big bite of cooked agave uo front followed by peppery, minty, citrus with a touch of vanilla cake frosting. Would stand up well as a mixer even though I'd only ever drink it neat myself. ”

“Overlooked this one while on a high proof kick but wow, what a masterpiece. Strong cooked agave, sweeness, and mineral spiciness on the nose. Flavor is bursting with agave, black pepper, green peppers, and some citrus in the background. It's a real nice blanco. ”

“Aroma of oak, pine, menthol, yeast, and faint burnt sugar. Flavor kind of the same up front bit then gives way to definite agave, spices, and reopens your nose to florals as you take more smells in. A bit of that heavy wood/tannin thickness that remains on the back of the palate like bourbons do but nothing unpleasant. A good example of a heavier XA that still retains tge agave without being bullied by the wood. ”

“Aroma of agave and oak right up front followed by a floral and chocolate note. Flavor is a real nice oak and agave balance where one doesn't overpower the other. Some cooked brown sugar sweetness and cinnamon and peppery finish. Didn't get the overpowering heat that some have mentioned but enough to keep a nice presence in carrying the flavors well into the finish”

“Aroma very weak and faint but pull out some light agave but you can almost smell sugar and a rubbery tire store smell. Flavor of sweetness up front, some anise and artificial vanilla flavoring. Something I might put on a flask and drink with a hunting buddy but not an everyday sipper nor would ever make it to my shelf. ”

“As alot indicate, olive on tbe nose from the start then melding into agave, vanilla taffy, cinnamon and clean wet concrete. Flavor is heat up front that gives way to agave, minerals and vegetal peppers. Nice lasting finish that closes with agave and cinnamon. ”

“Aroma of out of the horno cooked agave, brown sugar, leather, light spices. Flavor is sweet up front with brown sugar dissolving into agave, light oak, cinnamon, white pepper. Finish is a tad hot and comes as a suprise after such sweetness but aligns well. Very balanced, not over oaked, bourbon notes come out the more it opens both in the aroma and the flavor. Really nice and well done. ”

“Aroma of cooked agave with strong cedar notes (I know it was aged in oak), then some oak, mint, spices. Flavor of agave, briwn sugar, light caramel, mint, cinnamon. For sure can taste the El Tesoro profile. Well balanced, not over woody. A gem. ”

“Aroma, you kind of have to fight past the initial alcohol to get to agave, ligjt sugar, and mineral scents. It does open a bit more after sitting but flavor is slifht burn, agave, brown sugar, mint, Jalapeño, then a burn with the finish. Great mixer for the price but would probably sip just as much ”

“Had all three, as someone stated, very similar in profile/flavors with sameness probably due to process and differences due to agaves used in infusion. Aromas of strong cooked agave, cinnamon, vanilla, spices and faint caramel. Flavor of cooked agave, burnt sugar, some jalapeño/oily residue with certain sweetness. A nice change of pace and good conversation piece for sure. A must for any collection. ”
