“Impressive tequila! This is my first experience with a high-proof reposado. The nose is quite revealing, with notes of caramel, cinnamon, butter, and a slight peppery touch. On the palate, you immediately know you're dealing with something serious. It’s bold and powerful, and for a brief second, I get what I can only describe as an Irish whiskey-like sensation. Then, once you give it a little time to settle in, everything starts to make sense. The finish is impressively long, with what I would describe as a distinctly dry ending—something I’ve never experienced with any other tequila before. It looks like I’m really enjoying the high-proof reposado experience!”

Don Julio 1942
“I have the impression that I'm paying more for the prestigious Don Julio name than for the tequila itself. That said, its inviting aroma and rich flavors on the palate make it a respectable tequila. I'm from Quebec, Canada, where alcohol sales are controlled by a government monopoly, so our selection of tequilas is quite limited. It's a shame that this brand is often regarded as the best tequila available here, especially when there are so many better tequilas around the world. Still, it's an enjoyable tequila that's easy to appreciate.”
