Strong vanilla scent on the nose with pay and caramel notes. Taste of alcohol is a bit strong for this proof level. Not watery than oily. Overall it's a solid choice.

An excellent value reposado that punches way above its price tag! Aromas of pepper, butter, oak and brine. The taste has similar notes with a hint of citrus. This isn’t the most complex repo but it’s an excellent mixer, especially for the price!

Nose: Sweet, lemon, oak, vanilla and agave Flavor: Sweet, lemon, vanilla, oak, cooked agave, mild vegetable with medium mouth feel. Short and sweet Fantastic budget buy. This is my go to for all tequila cocktails!

Where this lacks is the finish, I find it far harsher than the añejo. Still a solid option for sipping or mixing.

I adore this tequila. It’s so different. It is a cinnamon explosion, it reminds me of Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal with Whiskey. The vanilla and caramel is there but they both become third wheel to the agave, cinnamon, oak and maple taste. It is slightly vegetal but that just adds to the cinnamon bomb. The aroma is cinnamon, chocolate and so gourmand through and through. Spicy finish though, but after a few down the hatch you acclimate. For the price this is a pleasantly fun sipper to have in the collection or to grab if you just want a tasty time.

On the nose, I’m immediately getting a funkiness, like a malolactic funk. Cooked agave, then vanilla. Oak, then a grassy note. A little bit of alcohol, but not too bad at all. Some cinnamon, and spices. That almost almond like aromatic note from the blanco is there but it’s rounded and fades into the medley of the aromas. On the palate, Sweet cooked agave, baking spices, vanilla. This is sweeter than I anticipated. The cinnamon comes through, and then a grassiness. Slight bitterness on the finish, and an almost cherry like note that creeps up from time to time. Overall, it’s very good, though I prefer the blanco. I recently had Don Nacho blanco and it’s a strong competitor for my absurdly good budget buy, I’ve got the reposado as well and I’m curious to see how it compares. Overall a very good tequila, and at $23-25, this beats out Cimarron, Altos and Cabrito for me, hands down. It loses a few points on taste and finish because of the bitter note I’m detecting, and I’m holding back on a 10/10 value because it’s not as sippable as the blanco imo. Otherwise though, Delicious, additive free, tasty. What more can I say?

Agave, clean oak, dried cherry comes through on the aroma. Flavor reminds me of mom's ham cooked with pineapple and cloves. Medium finish with sufficient alcohol. For under $30, a nice reposado

Aroma is wonderful with caramelized agave, vanilla and black pepper. Taste is good with more of the same plus a sweet date undertone. Finish is solid. I like this one a lot.

I really enjoyed this one. Nice aroma, with some butterscotch notes and hay, as well as some cooked agave. Taste was nice for me. Silky texture and nice notes from the barrel, going into some rich honey notes. Hopefully additive free. I read some comments talking about heat and harsh finish. For me, this is a well balanced tequila, with great character but without any bitterness or astringency. For the price point, this will be on my heavy rotation list.

Aroma : Agave, cinnamon, caramel, and grass notes. Taste : Light agave, and peppery spiciness. Caramel here as well. There is also a bitter/acidic note that goes along with the agave/caramel combo. Finish : Medium length with more peppery spiciness and some alcohol heat.

I don’t like or dislike this tequila, it’s middle of the road for me. Smells just like any other tequila, nothing exciting to report. I definitely prefer the juice pre oak.

Nose: Agave, cinnamon, ripe dark cherries and berries, “Juicy Fruit” gum aroma, and a bit of a lactic barnyard presence - Flavor: Pepper, a caramel/agave taste, with cinnamon, cloves and a grapefruit tang. Some bourbon/whisky oak notes. Sits nicely on the palate. A great economical option.

There's just not enough price difference to get regular Arette instead of the artesenal. This mixes fine, but artesenal are clearly superior.

The biggest detractor for me is the bitter finish, like dandelion leaves. It just overwhelms the very subtle hints of rosemary and mint, which you get at the very end. The rest of it isn't very interesting, so I can't honestly recommend it.

Smells great and tastes great in the very beginning and then the finish is a little rough. Then it smooths out and tastes really great again. Interesting experience.

At La Pina. Nice agave smell with a little heat in back. Similar taste with nice hot agave flavors increasing in back with a little cinnamon. Into a similar finish with a quick hit of heat and lingering cinnamon.

Smoky, steamed agave, vanilla, mild fruit flavors I can’t identify. Decent but not as good as it should be.

Clear yellow gold. Viscous, legs linger, tear drops form on my glass for the duration of the pour. Nose of cooked agave, green pepper, spearmint, hint of green apple, minerals, oak, caramel. Taste up front I get agave, caramel, flash of green pepper, minerality. Finish is mild pepper, agave, caramel, spearmint. Creamy mouthfeel, noticeable influence from the oak. This is very enjoyable tequila, great value. Color amarillo dorado transparente.

I was expecting more from this reposado. Did not separate from the bunch. Plenty of heat and mid to long finish.

Great price, the finish is mostly a long alcohol burn lingering around but I don’t mind. It’s missing floral notes that I like in a repo

Review #159 - Arette Tequila Reposado

My first try from the Arette line. I've heard good things about it...especially the gran clase, but being a reposado guy, I thought this would be the best first choice.
