Robert Denton Import | Lote R 101, great balance of oak and agave

Mexican product. Not an import. Light color. Nice legs. Fruity aroma with romano cheese, and bold agave flavor. Tastes of herbs, Black pepper and sweet mature agave.

Lot 1015. Must have been the first F&J lot as later lot 1017 is a Denton import. Creamy and smooth with some great agave notes. My bottle has a $34.99 sticker on it. I can only wish.

Lote 1015, F&J import. Creamy agave, great balance with the wood. Nice notes of caramel and vanilla, fruity, floral, very complex. A great repo!

Robert Denton Import | denton import. this was so delicious. swift me to a sunny warm beach or sunny afternoon outside and the bottle would be nearly gone. however had I not know what it was I would have said it’s a solid repo. I think that speaks to the level people are making tequila these days. really great options (and unfortunately others not so great). not that this isn’t good but it’s tame to me. It’s almost too easy drinking. it’s gentle toasty on the nose. Very approachable. the profile is dialed it’s so pure and balanced. finish is spot on. sampled in London at a bar that had no idea what they had.

Delicious old school agave flavor. A very special Denton import. Notes of fruit, Oak, but so Agave foward. I wish we had another bottle.

40% abv. 1L Mexican version, lote: R-1029, I estímate it was bottled in 2006. Color is very pale yellow. Nose is very strong intense pure sweet cooked agave balanced with minerality and a touch of herbal notes and a touch of white pepper, vanilla & soft wood spices. The menthol feeling is almost as if it were effervescent, making it very fresh. On the palate there is a perfect balance between sweet & sour, after the balance the intense resinous sweet agave flavor emerges, the white pepper is also there. Finish is medium to long, despite it being so sweet on the cooked agave notes, the effervescence keeps it crisp and not cloying.

Great

The blanco is a staple but the barrels that are being used completely taint this tequila. Turns from a bright and satisfying Blanco to a bitter/unclean repo. Change the barrels or stick to blanco.

I’ve always heard about how great these are, but I had never found a bottle of my own. I finally found a bottle at a little bar a few years ago. Let me tell you, it didn’t disappoint and lived up to the hype! So much going on. The aroma is great and the taste is very complex. Oily mouth feel with an agave forward profile and a long smooth finish. Can’t wait to find more of these.

Tequila El Tesoro de Don Felipe, like it’s name says in Spanish, this Tequila is truly a treasure, till now it’s still my favorite tequila. Very bold and complex for a reposado. Strong agave, citrus, florals and aged wood that balances out in every way till the finish.

Green Olives!

Nose is a bit too much alcohol, but somewhat sweet and piny. Palate is agave and earth/oak. Finish is a gentle creamy tingle. Just my 2 cents.
