Nose: Agave leads with a clean brightness, joined by lemon zest and a soft, earthy note of sweet potato. A subtle vinous character adds a gentle roundness beneath it all, with a light trace of pepper keeping things lively. Palate & Mouthfeel: Thin and a bit watery on entry, it opens with sweet potato and agave before a burst of bright lemon zest cuts through. The two push and pull- the creamy, earthy depth of sweet potato clashing with the sharp citrus lift. Black pepper and vegetal tones rise toward the middle, while a light creaminess smooths the edges but never fully brings it all together. Finish: Creamy and a touch dry, with mild spice that lingers briefly before fading cleanly. Final Thoughts: Well crafted, but the flavors feel at odds. The vivid lemon zest and creamy sweet potato pull in different directions, creating tension rather than harmony.

Aroma is full of raw and cooked agave, black pepper, minerality/salinity, dry earth, orange, a hint of sweet cream, and cinnamon Flavor is a little more tame than the aroma but I get a good amount of earth, minerality, black pepper, raw agave, with hints of cooked agave and kiwi Finish lingers briefly and the texture is softer on the watery side. Drinks really easy. This is a good sipper or would probably go great in a nice cocktail.

Glass: CTC Jarrito Nose: Agave, Carmel, Vanilla, Honey, Oak Palate: Agave, Vanillla, Oak, Cream Soda, Burnt Sugar Finish: Honey, Vanilla, Almond, Oak, Barrel Spice I forgot to review this for quite a long time after initially adding it to my collection. I am glad I did. The heart apparently grows fonder with absence and the tequila at times and grow richer, and mellow out at the same time. The oak seemed to become a little less overwhelming with time, while the sweeter, caramel, honey and vanilla notes seemed to shine a bit more. Although the Oak was a bit more balanced while the bottle sat for a bit, there seemed to be a snowball effect throughout my enjoyment of this spirit. From the nose to the finish, the Oak did seem to get more prominent but it never outshine any of the other flavors or aromas. If you may have rated this at a fresh crack, or shortly after opening and this bottle has been sitting; I Implore you to revisit this one.

Aroma/Taste: The aroma features licorice, anise, and limestone, along with cooked agave, vegetal notes, brine/salt, and a hint of yeast. On the palate, the taste is mineral, with sweet agave and anise. Finish: The finish is brief and sweet, with a slight black pepper heat. Overall: When tasted blind, this tequila is a "par for the course" blanco. It doesn't stand out as overly distinctive, but it's not offensive either. I would drink it again, both neat and as a mixer. I enjoy it and would like to explore this particular tequila further.
