Aroma is full of raw and cooked agave, black pepper, minerality/salinity, dry earth, orange, a hint of sweet cream, and cinnamon Flavor is a little more tame than the aroma but I get a good amount of earth, minerality, black pepper, raw agave, with hints of cooked agave and kiwi Finish lingers briefly and the texture is softer on the watery side. Drinks really easy. This is a good sipper or would probably go great in a nice cocktail.
Aroma/Taste: The aroma features licorice, anise, and limestone, along with cooked agave, vegetal notes, brine/salt, and a hint of yeast. On the palate, the taste is mineral, with sweet agave and anise. Finish: The finish is brief and sweet, with a slight black pepper heat. Overall: When tasted blind, this tequila is a "par for the course" blanco. It doesn't stand out as overly distinctive, but it's not offensive either. I would drink it again, both neat and as a mixer. I enjoy it and would like to explore this particular tequila further.
TMM Blind Tasting:2025 The aroma opens with cooked agave, petrichor, hay, cinnamon, and a noticeable ethyl burn. On the palate, cooked agave leads into lime citrus and a burst of ethyl, followed by light floral notes, tropical fruit or peach, slight cacao, grassy mint, and a clinging spicy sweetness with slight astringency. The finish lingers with citrus, grassiness, and a continued spicy-sweet cling.
TMM Blind Panel: On the nose: grass & white sugar, alcohol, little to no agave Flavor: grass, mineral, alcohol, sweet, no agave Finish: medium, oily. Not my thing. Just don’t get the bomb of agave that I need in a tequila.
Blind TMM tasting: Clean agave nose and flavors. Very light all the way around, including the finish. Nothing stands out bad or outstanding. Extra points for value.
This one is really nice! Agave, minerals and brine the nose and palate. I also got some floral notes on the nose. Super oily mouth feel. Nice finish.
Nose is neutral. On entry there is some sweetness and a bit of agave but the finish has artificial sweetener notes. Overall this is a very bland product. Worst of the 10 samples.
Like the nose and the price on this blanco. A little herbal, vegetal, some floral notes. Light cinnamon. Medium finish
Thick and creamy! This is all about texture and minerality. Could give some bigger tequilas a run for the money in a blind. Not the most complex tasting, but scores huge points for me on mouthfeel and finish as well as pricing. This needs to go national! Only drawback for me is trying to find it!
Nice agave forward with notes or earthiness with strong citrus notes, black pepper and salinity
Sweet and spiced aroma, flavor is clean but thin, finish is nice but quick. That’s what she said.
Pedro Furtivo Blanco 12/2024 let this one open up. it gets better Nose at first (neck pour) brine pepper hay/yeast alcohol vegetal. agave came thru as is opened up. Taste is sweet agave fruit vanilla. Medium finish with sweet vanilla and pepper
Great cooked agave a lot of minerals and an Awsome finish! Great price point and amazing owners!! This could be my daily drinker!
It’s Sunday! Sipping Sunday!! Happy National Cookie Cutter Day!!! Tonight’s pour comes from NOM 1360 Corporacion Ansan, Pedro Furtivo Blanco. The Brand was Founded by Agavero Omar Martinez and Wine and Beer Experts Peter and Rachel Kiley. Omar is a third generation Agavero as well as a Partner in several Construction Firms in the Atlanta Area. Peter worked within the wine industry before trying his hand working in the Beer Brewing business. Rachel was the Sales Director at Monday Night Brewing when she and Peter met. Omar Martinez and his family have been cultivating their farm for 6 generations! Now the third generation of Agave Farmers they truly care for the land! As a steward for the land, Omar has a belief to keep the land as harmonious with natural nature as possible. He does not clear the land of trees, and even plants more! Peter’s background began as a Chemistry Major at the University of Georgia. He decided not to follow his initial path to medical school, but instead followed his Aunt and Uncle to the Anderson Valley in California and began learning wine making. He then bounced around different Wineries and after learning many things, even becoming a Sommelier. Wanting to head home, he began working at a Chateau Elan Winery and Resort. In 2013, he landed a role at Monday Night Brewing. By 2018 he had worked his way up to Head Brewmaster. Rachel began her tenure at Monday Night Brewing at it’s inception. Over the last 5 years she served as the COO for the Company. Peter and Rachel have since started Sneaky Pete Spirits, Rachel is the Co-founder with Peter and is the CEO. Both Peter and Rachel will continue to support Monday Night Brewing, with Rachel continuing as a Strategic Advisor while Peter will remain the Head Brewmaster. With his vast knowledge with Monday Night Brewing’s Barrel Aged Program, he has taken the active role in their aged products. Pedro Furtivo (Sneaky Pete) uses 6–7-year-old Agaves from the Martinez Family Estate. Jimadors cut only super ripe Agaves. Agaves and then split and cooked in Traditional Stone Brick Ovens. Cooked Agaves are then macerated with Roller Mills with Deep Well Water being added. Fermentation takes place in Stainless Steel Tanks with the use of proprietary yeasts. It is then distilled twice in Copper Pot Stills. Aroma: Out of the gate, Sweet Cooked Agave jumps out. As does a Grapefruit Citrus Note. A ripe Pear note can also be detected among a Fruity complexity. There is a noticeable Earthy and Minerality here as well. Cinnamon holds a nice sweet spice aroma. An Herbal and Vegetal quality pops out along with the scent of fresh cut grass and even a light Floral Note. Taste: The same Sweet Cooked Agave that was on the nose, definitely shows up immediately on the taste. The Grapefruit Citrus flavor isn’t a bitter citrus flavor, it is very sweet, but distinctive. There is a tart Pear/Apple note that is balanced by the Earthy and Mineral driven tastes. Where many Blancos have a Black Pepper or Cinnamon component that shows up quickly, here it’s a sweet spice note of Cinnamon that comes towards the end of the mid-palate. All these sweet flavors are still balanced out by the Herbal and Vegetal flavors along with the Fresh Cut Grass. Finish: Nice Sweet Finish of Agave, Grapefruit, Tart Pear/Apple and Light Cinnamon and a Floral note that carries this out. A very easy delicious sipper! TMM—87 Salud!
Vessel: Glencairn Nose: Cooked Agave, Cream Soda, Peppermint, Hay, Honey Mouthfeel: Medium Bodied Taste: Agave, Macadamia Nut, Cream Soda, Earth Finish: Agave, Creamy Custard, Honeysuckle I was gifted this bottle by the brand to try out along with the reposado. I had already heard good things about this brand by a friend in the community, so I was eager to try it. As always with new brands without much of a track record, I had a healthy level of skepticism.. turns out I really enjoyed this one. It's sweet and mild but does it right. Lots of agave, lots of creaminess and sweetness but without the black pepper that I'm typically used to seeing on the finish. Well done, Pedro!
Nose of agave and apple. Sweet Pastry. On the tongue I get agave, some floral notes and fruit - apple. Very nice finish. This is a $34 blanco. Very enjoyable and a good value
I tasted this on the fly at Arte Agave Atlanta on Sept. 27, 2024. Strong sweet agave forward. Nothing specifically spicy…hint of peppermint- not black pepper- anise and some light fruit and floral hints. This was really very good. Excited to see more from this brand.
traditional tequila smell, light citrus aroma at the end, dissipates quickly. alcohol and peppery flavor at first, then dissipates. feels like it might start harsh, but it is very smooth.
L: AGA/12/24/P.F.B.E. Acquired recently, tasted on 4-25-26. Aroma: light sweet cooked agave, hint of acidity, light pepper spiciness, hint of raw agave, hint of herbal aroma. Palate: confirms aromas perceived, light sweet cooked agave with pepper spiciness, slightly subtle. Finish is medium, light raw agave, hint of raw agave which is opposite of the strength of aromas perceived, hint of herbal note persists but not too long.
Really enjoyed this. Lots of floral and fruity notes for me
banana, pepper, light agave
Agave sweetness with baking spices, cinnamon and Black pepper. oily viscosity that lingers on the palate for awhile with the black pepper.
Sample via Agave Swappers Nose: cooked agave, floral, some funkiness that sort of reminds me of a rum, a little sharp at the end. Flavor: sweet cooked agave up front along with some spices or floral notes in the middle. It finished a bit peppery with some anise and mint notes, and I can distinctly taste some ethanol. Finish: The finish is just ok. Peppery with some ethanol lingering.
Aroma: (22) Agave, brine, black pepper, minerals, Taste: (26) Agave, black pepper, minerals, grass. Finish: (21) balanced finish with oily, agave, black pepper left on palette. Overall: (85) $40 nice valley blanco. Reminds me of Arette clasica blanco.

Nose: Agave leads with a clean brightness, joined by lemon zest and a soft, earthy note of sweet potato. A subtle vinous character adds a gentle roundness beneath it all, with a light trace of pepper keeping things lively. Palate & Mouthfeel: Thin and a bit watery on entry, it opens with sweet potato and agave before a burst of bright lemon zest cuts through. The two push and pull- the creamy, earthy depth of sweet potato clashing with the sharp citrus lift. Black pepper and vegetal tones rise toward the middle, while a light creaminess smooths the edges but never fully brings it all together. Finish: Creamy and a touch dry, with mild spice that lingers briefly before fading cleanly. Final Thoughts: Well crafted, but the flavors feel at odds. The vivid lemon zest and creamy sweet potato pull in different directions, creating tension rather than harmony.
