This has a medium amber in the glass. It is a bit darker than expected considering it is only in the barrel for 3 months. Aroma of cooked agave, vanilla, oak, cinnamon, citrus and baking spice. Flavor of cooked agave, black pepper, oak, vanilla, cinnamon and citrus. Medium finish. Price was approximately $50 in Mexico.

Nose is wild cheddar cheese, pencil eraser, some light fruit, some smokiness there, def autoclave, quality juice. Pallet is same, very nice juice.

Could taste pepper and agave and a little caramel.

Tasted at Sip Tequila Fest Tasted both the regular release, and a single barrel Reposado. I preferred the single barrel a hair more, but not enough to justify the substantial price hike. Both repo’s had a significant amount of barrel influence, yet the agave base was still this repo’s predominant note.

Nose is cooked agave, vanilla, caramel and a hint of cheese. Taste is cooked agave, vanilla, caramel and pepper. The glass was a Chisholm Standard Proof Jarrito.

A well-made, tasty reposado. Not too much barrel influence but there’s a decent amount of caramel, butter, cinnamon to go along with a slight hint of melon and pepper.

Nose: Carmel, Oak, Agave, Nutmeg, Vanilla, Orange Peel, Toffee, and Clove. Mouthfeel: medium to heavy viscosity, definitely on the oily/buttery side. Palate: The toffee, Oak, and Carmel remain dominant on the palate Finish: Still has toffee, oak, and Carmel running the show with vanilla and orange people showing up again at the very end.

I will say up front, I like a little cheesy funk to my tequila. I don’t have to have it but when done right, I find it a pleasure. This one has a little blue cheese on the nose but not overpowering. It also has a good deal of cooked agave. It is fruity and has good barrel notes of oak, vanilla and caramel. Nice and sweet on the tongue without much malolactic flavor. I get vanilla and oak. This is nice a fruity with a touch of cinnamon to the finish. I definitely like this one.

Nose: sweet agave / vanilla/ pepper / fruity / orange peel / bell pepper/ basil/ orange blossom/ butterscotch Taste: agave sweet/ vanilla/ caramel/ pepper / earth / butter / melon / cherry / orange / anise / spearmint / nutmeg / honey Finish: clean bright smooth / water feel - not oily or viscous/ most of the tastes diminish quickly except the sweetness and a fresh clean taste A nice subtle repo except for the huge sweetness. The other flavors don’t shine through very much, but I like how the sweetness doesn’t overwhelm everything. There is some balance…just some.

Tried 4/20/24 in Playa Del Carmen at Marmorata. Great flavor. Baking spice. Quite lactic but I enjoyed this one. Also tried 9/13/24 at Atanasio Distillery.

I enjoyed this one. The nose and palate were nice. Tasted blind. I’d be curious to try the rest of the line.

Cheesy nose. Kinda expensive. But I dig the flavor!

Pungent cheese on the nose. But luckily it doesn't come through on the palate. Great stuff, but a bit on the pricey side.

tried again at the cellar mx. barrel notes, a little sweet with funky malolactic

Very light on the barrel notes which lets the agave shine

I don’t know if my expectations were high but I thought it was good, not awesome.

My least favorite of their 3 expressions. Not a bad repo. I just enjoyed their blanco and Anejo more

Atanasio Reposado I smell cooked agave, oak barrel, honey, caramel and baking spices. I taste baking spices and then the sweet cooked agave. I get pepper on the mid pallet and then a nice sweet and peppery finish that lingers. I think Reposados are hard to do right. This is a good Reposado! Salud!

As past ratings have mentioned sweet citrus, interesting fruitness, very mild ethanol. Curious about the barrels used. Very pleasant.

Nice clean aroma of dried fruit and cooked agave. Flavor is also simple and clean, with agave and vanilla. The finish is a little bit fruity and sweet. This is pleasant and easy to drink.

Nutmeg, orange, oak nose. Pleasing lightly sweet agave nose and taste. A light citrus in the mouth and a gentle oaky finish. Tasty and easy to drink, even though it’s not super complex.

Nose: Pleasing oak, barrel spice and orange blossom aromas. Agave, laced with nutmeg, vanilla, pepper and cinnamon. A slight cedar note. Flavor: Nice oily mouth feel with zingy cinnamon, fruit and sweet nuttiness. A vivacious profile that has creeping pepper heat with juxtaposing creamy toffee. The cedar note continues on the palate.

Finally opened this bottle after almost a year! What an excellent offering from Atanasio. Loving the aromas, roasted agave, citrus, charred oak, vanilla Mouth feel, light to medium, oily, warm Flavors were awesome! Sweet roasted agave, brown sugar vanilla, oak, finishing with nutmeg and pepper Sweet reposado with the perfect amount of barrel notes and layered with flavor
