“I just cracked open the bottle, so I had to let my first glass aerate a bit. Once the alcohol punch dissipated, I was able to enjoy one of my favorite aspects of this particular Tequila - the aroma. Nose is so wonderful and unique. Dewey grass, apple, pineapple...tropical type fruits. Mouth is a bit more standard with cooked agave and white pepper tingle. Finish seems to explode then quickly levels out, but does stick around with some of the mouth and nose notes lingering. Can still taste that tropical fruit along with some lemon zest. Yum!”

“On the nose I get alcohol amidst some more pleasant notes like anise, citrus, and grass. There is also something sweet that I can't put my finger on, like a hint of marshmallow or cupcake (depends on the vessel I'm using). Mouth is classic green agave, black pepper, and licorice. With a tingly peppery finish that ends with raw almonds (hmm...if you ever baked almonds at home, there's a sweet cupcakey aroma that fills the house - maybe there's a connection here). Even though I get alcohol on the nose, this has a soft mouthfeel. I heard this one was a gem - not easy to find. I scouted a bottle out while vacationing in Texas. Unfortunately, I think the older bottles are the good ones I read about. Supposedly the quality isn't what it used to be. Either way, a classic tasting tequila outside of that odd sweetness which makes it a bit more unique.”

“This has been my go-to for Paloma's and more mellow Margaritas. I like the carmel and oak notes balanced with the agave. A bit too much alcohol on nose and mouth for me to sip on, but I'm giving it a good score because of the price and how it does so well as a quality repo mixer.”

“This is a sweet and balanced Anejo that I share with my whiskey drinking friends -and they always love it! With a strong oak presence, I'm not surprised. I myself can't help but think of bourbon when I'm drinking this. Cooked agave, citrus, cinnamon, and caramel notes make this very enjoyable. The bottle has a cool design too. My only complaint is that alcohol sometimes overpowers the nose and taste, but for a overproof spirit that should be expected. ”

“A bit disappointed by this one considering how much I liked the Reposado. It was like the Repo but with a lot more alcohol all around. Improved after cutting it with some water, but just didn't hit the spot. Wasn't as much oak as expected, picked up cinnamon and allspice. Ordered at the bar, perhaps it was a new bottle that hadn't had a chance to air-out?”

“Surprised by how sweet this was. Good balance of cooked agave and subtle wood. Classic pepper finish that went down smooth. Certainly simple, but a staple tequila in my book! Update: as it oxidized in the bottle, I noticed a lot more grass notes, especially on the nose.”

“Green agave and alcohol on the nose. Light citrus flavor with black pepper finish. Basic tequila. Recommend for mixing because of outstanding value. ”

“A nice amount of oak and caramel on the nose. Unfortunately alcohol dominates the taste and short finish as there is some burn there. However, for the price point - especially a repo - this is a pretty good stuff. Sippable, but most likely a go-to mixer for me. ”

“One of the sweeter blancos I've tried. Absolutely love it! Strong presence of roasted agave accompanied by citrus, white pepper, and peppermint - hints of fruit and flowers. Aroma, flavor, and finish are all very consistent and balanced. This is some quality stuff! I also like all the details they put on the bottle.”

“A very smooth and sippable blanco. Nothing unique about it, but who doesn't like a basic tequila that has all those classic characteristics? Green agave aroma coupled with a sweet and briny flavor - nothing overpowering. All followed by a peppery and citrus finish. Sleek, modern looking bottle. Downsides would be price, and the fact that there are much better options at this price. My conclusion is that this is the best "mainstream" blanco I've had.”

“Bold, thick, and intense! My first high-proof tequila caught me off guard - forgot about this little fact when I ordered, but was quickly reminded when my first sip slapped me in the face. Strong smells of grass, citrus, and alcohol (not surprising). What did surprise me was the sweet taste - perhaps from the barrel aging. I mostly enjoyed the peppery and earthy agave finish. It could be that the aroma and taste were a bit too overwhelming to enjoy. Obviously the bottle is awesome, but the price keeps me from buying one for myself. This tasting was part of a tequila flight at a bar.”

“I felt I had to try this because it seems to be one of the mainstream staples. It was very basic with a nice citrus aroma, earthy agave taste and finish, but like the anejo, a dominating alcohol burn. I would order this at a bar that has a limited selection of tequila, but don't plan on restocking this in my collection. ”

“Interesting concept. Love the bottle. Nose is good with vanilla, agave, and citrus. Taste has agave, pepper, and hint of smoke. Finish filled with pepper, agave, and mint. Very smooth and mellow which means it's ideal for non-experienced tequila drinkers. The only negatives for me were that I sometimes pick up the taste of rubber or soap (can't quite put my finger on it - but it seems artificial), and it might be a bit too mellow. Overall, a good buy if you can find it for less than $40.”

“Pleasant aroma of green agave and citrus. Bit of alcohol taste along with agave and pepper. Finish of pepper and mint. Good basic blanco - can find better options at cheaper price (I imagine they have to cover their advertising costs). ”

“Just a basic repo - nothing bad, but nothing exciting. Dull aroma, decent taste of vanilla, cinnamon, and oak...agave still present. Short finish. ”
