Cascahuín Plata 48%
“Oh my! One of the best, if not THE best blanco I have tasted. Incredible cooked agave notes on the nose and even better flavor. The aftertaste is pleasant and lingering, making you crave the next sip even more. The 48% ABV (94 proof) spices things up without giving you the burn of other high-proof Tequilas. Hats off to the Rosales Fam. & Co on this one. Cheers!”

Tequila G4 Reposado
“First time around with a his one. The best way I can describe this Repo is: subtle and balanced. The wood taste is present but not overwhelming. Good tequila, although I liked the G4 Blanco way more than the Reposado.”

Herradura Blanco 46
“Because of the 46% ABV (92 proof) this liquid is not for beginners. I needed a few more sips than usual before I could enjoy the flavors in this tequila. Lots of spices and herbs upfront, followed by peppers and olives. The finish is sweet and pleasant. Take your time with this one, let it breathe a little so the flavors open up and you will not be disappointed.”

Don Fulano Blanco
“This was very light on cooked agave both in aroma and taste. I read this doesn’t use ovens for cooking so maybe that has to do with the cooked agave not coming out as much as I would like. Not to mean this was a bad tequila, it goes down smoothly and leaves a pleasant aftertaste. I finally got to try DF after seeing it getting much praise from tequila enthusiasts. Found myself an old bottle (Lot 185DFB16A). Not sure if it lives up to the hype but it has a distinct flavor for sure, many reviews describe it as “vegetable” so I’ll go with that for lack of a better word.”

Fortaleza Reposado
“I really enjoyed this tequila although I would like more oak notes for an aged tequila. Wondering how many months this rests in the barrel?”

“I could taste a intense presence of caramel or avocantes in this one, after finishing my first one I was done with the sweetness saturation.”

Trujillo Crystal Blanco (NOM 1605)
“Tasting this reminded me of putting a 9 volt battery on my tongue to see if it still works. I can’t understand how anyone would launch a liquid this bad. ”

Herradura Reposado
“An essential reposado. For me this is a “can’t miss” option. The 11 months in the barrel (vs. 6 or 8 in most cases) definitely make a difference in this one.”
