“Honestly, I need to try this again. The bottle I had turned very bad shortly after opening. My understanding is that Cazcanes has had trouble with bottles before, not sufficiently keeping air out. My guess is thats what happened here - but unfortunately it also happened to a bottle of #7 anjeo I had. Before they went bad, I did enjoy the flavor of both expressions. I just don't recall enough to give a proper review. I do think that the price point is high for either one, over $100 each here in the Charlotte, NC area.”

“Not my favorite of the night. Butterscotch on the nose, but not on the palate. I tasted bourbon and pepper. Not for me personally, but if someone offers it to me, I'd drink it again. I can see why it's the price it is, it is a very complex and drinkable tequila.”

“Buttery on the nose & tongue. Smooth, slight sweetness, very pleasant & easy to drink. Tried it neat, will try again with ice to see how flavors change.”

“Smells sweet immediately out of the bottle, but not particularly sweet on the tongue. Personally, I found it to be mildly sweet up front, then a little smoke, then a slight alcohol backflash up through my nose. Black pepper came later. Overall I would definitely recommend this tequila it's a tasty, smooth sipping tequila (I use 1 big ice cube in all my drinks).”
