“Tangy, bright nose. Equal parts agave and citrus. Hints of honey, vanilla, and flowers. The cooked agave is more prevalent on the palate. Getting hints of citrus and honey that subside and give way to a light agave and peppery finish. A complex blanco that is bright and enjoyable. Good value and comparable to other high rated blancos at a similar price.”

“On the nose, sensing cooked agave, vanilla, honey, a bit of baking spice, and a bit of smoke. Similar palate. The finish is buttery without being oily. Overall a great product with a great cause. Will be keeping this & the Anejo restocked in my personal cabinet.”

“More agave forward & not as vegetal as the 40% abv blanco. Added citrus on the palate. Longer peppery finish with the agave present throughout.”

“Nose: Sweet. Oaky. Toasty - slight dark chocolate / coffee. Slight cinnamon / baking spice. Palate: Complex. Agave and butter forward. This gives way to oak and vanilla. Then a medium bitter dark chocolate / coffee finish. Fantastically complex sipper from one of the best distillers in the industry. You get what you pay for.”

“Nose: Very sweet. Agave is sandwiched into oak, vanilla, caramel, and honey. Slight lingering smoke & black pepper. Palate: Agave is pleasantly a bit more prominent than the nose. Oak, caramel, and vanilla follow in abundance. Minimal pepper bite. Long buttery / oily finish that is quite pleasant to sit with. Rich anejo that pulls a ton of barrel influence without sacrificing the agave. Incredible how this distiller can craft a product like this without additives.”

“Simply superb. Strong barrel, agave, butterscotch & caramel fragrance. Caramel, oak, & vanilla hit the palate first, giving way to agave & black pepper. Smooth, buttery finish.”

“Premium product at a premium price. Plenty of cooked agave on the nose and palate. Prevalent sweet agave as is customary with other Cazcanes products. The repo no.7 has a pop of caramel, oak, and spice. The finish is buttery and medium in length.”

“My first Arette product & I found this one quite enjoyable. Presents very sweet on the nose with a heavy hit of caramel / molasses, followed by sweet agave, oak, and cinnamon. Palate is similar with a buttery / brine-y finish. Not the most agave forward product but enjoyable nonetheless. Decent bang for your $.”

“Plenty of barrel influence as you’d expect. One for the whiskey drinkers. Interesting mix of agave, vanilla, oak, caramel, and whiskey. I’m detecting banana as well. Overall another great product from El Tesoro and an excellent sipper. Will break this one out on special occasion due to the high price point.”

“Just superb. Not much else to say. Just about the best sipping blanco you can get your hands on. Abundantly sweet cooked agave mixed with pepper, minerals, and herb (I’m detecting mint?). Some citrus in the finish. Makes for a uniquely great sipping experience. 1579 produces some excellent products and this is one of their very best. Priced slightly above some other premium blancos but who cares. It’s absolutely worth the $70-$80 tag.”

“Picked this up after taste testing at my local total wine. Very smooth, oaky, sweet caramel aroma & palate. Oak, caramel, & vanilla palate give way to a cooked agave finish. Enjoyable sipper. Extra point for value - you can pick this up for $10-$20 cheaper than similar additive free options.”

“Advertised as additive free but I’m pretty sure it isn’t. Heavy caramel and oak on the nose. Taste is the same with cooked agave sandwiched in, but the finish is short. Decent for a celebrity backed tequila. Price point is tough though - there are vastly better products in the 40-60$ range.”

“2023 Corralillos. Brownie point for the new bottle. Love this tequila. Slightly aged - just enough to make those citrus and cinnamon notes pop. Cooked agave is still king here & is the primary flavor/finish. Corralillos is in line with previous iterations of Ocho repo & dials up the agave a half-notch. ”

“Had seen many great reviews of this product and had high expectations. Was still pleasantly surprised. On the nose - agave, black pepper, vanilla, citrus, and cut grass. On the palate - sweet agave, slight black pepper, and citrus. Light and clean finish with minimal bite. Makes a great sipper that I would put up against any other additive free blanco. ”

“Minimal barrel influence in this one. Agave forward. Sweet vanilla, light caramel, and pepper nose + flavor. Also picking up a slight citrus flavor. Buttery finish. Overall a great product for the price & a great additive free sipper for those who prefer something without excessive oak & tannins. My only minor gripe is the twist off cap - am a sucker for a a product packaged with a cork.”
