Nose a nice on this one. Sweet agave, dried fruit, plum, vanilla, caramel. The taste is agave and alcohol. If you dig deep enough, you can taste a few other flavors.

* I tried this on a cruise. I have to try this again in a more private setting, because I was far from impressed* The aroma presents notes of citrus, minerality, alcohol, grassiness, minute caramel, a minuscule buttery tone, and floral hints. On the palate, scathing ethyl, black pepper, and orange/lime citrus tones are prominent with a floral undertone. The finish features fading grassiness and a thinning but potent alcohol presence, accompanied by a floral note.

Very light agave, whiskey notes, oak barrel and a hint of caramel. Easy finish but not overly strong in flavors. Less complex than other reposados but not a bad option.

This takes a good Blanco and lightly sweetens the product. A good repo.

Strong aroma of spice, funk, alcohol, and some fruit. The funk reminds me of tequila I’ve had from La Cofradia, kind of musty and earthy. Initial taste starts harsh but mellows. I’ve seen some people detect melon flavors; maybe it’s the power or suggestion but I do get some melon rind—a tad on the bitter side, with a light pepper finish. In all, it’s fine but a bit funky for me. I do appreciate that it’s additive free.

Well made, lightly barrel aged Repo, best of the celeb tequilas out there currently

Aroma: Light and vegetal, with hints of cooked agave and melon. Flavor: A nice, clean minerality, with a very slight sweetness to it. Finish: Cooked agave and black pepper on the finish. Some bite but very pleasant. Overall: A well made, easy to sip tequila that holds it own. Very light in color and on barrel influence.

Prominent aroma of melon (cantaloupe), flavor of melon, mint, and vanilla. It has a musty finish. Full mouthfeel likely related to the aeration used in the process.

Cantaloupe and vanilla aromas with a rich mouthfeel. Slight barrel funk and spice on the finish. I always appreciate the rare melon aroma!

Nose: Light and vegetal. Cooked agave, melon, banana, milk chocolate, and butterscotch. The blanco character comes through clearly underneath the barrel. Palate: Sweet agave entry with a soft mouthfeel. Vanilla, orange, cantaloupe; green bell pepper, anise, and caramel building through the mid-palate. The vegetal core never disappears and the oak stays in a supporting role throughout. Finish: Balanced oak tannins and anise evening out the natural sweetness. Vanilla, mineral, cantaloupe, and a sprinkle of black pepper on the fade. Overall: A lighter, fruit forward reposado that rewards the patient sipper. Where it truly revealed itself was in a tequila old fashioned. One of the best I’ve ever had. The cantaloupe and vanilla play off the bitters and sugar in a way that bourbon simply can’t replicate. Serve chilled neat or build it in a rocks glass with a big cube and an orange peel. Either way the blanco’s personality stays intact and the barrel does exactly what it should

Aromas of strong alcohol, vegetal, and mint. Flavors of vegetal, alcohol, and mint. Maybe there's a hint of pepper. The alcohol numbs the taste buds a bit. Finishes with an alcoholic burn in the throat and lingering sweetness on the tongue. This reposado shares the same flavors with its blanco twin. It's pleasantly surprising to still taste hints of mint. But it's unpleasantly surprising for this reposado to smell, taste, and finish more strongly of alcohol. I don't know how that happened to a rested tequila. But, I'm honestly disappointed with this reposado, because it's Blanco counterpart felt so original. But this tequila is just too rough overall. I do not recommend buying this. Even if it were about half of its price of about $50 USD, I don't think I would recommend it. If you like vegetal tequila, maybe try the Santo Fino Blanco instead. At least they both come in 50ml bottles.

Soft agave, mineral, mildly sweet fruity aroma. Soft cooked agave, white pepper, slightly sweet flavor. Short finish. Somewhat bland for me.

This is definitely an improvement over the blanco, I think that the light aging smooths out the rough edges of the blanco and makes it a more gentle experience. I appreciate that the barrel influence doesn’t make it so agave isn’t the main note, and there’s nice common barrel notes (cinnamon, oak) to deepen the character a bit more than the blanco. I do think that more complex and well-balanced reposados are available in the price range, though.

The lot/lote (batch) under review is T/R 010624/TV. COLOR: Very light straw yellow AROMA PROFILE: Very earthy, herbal, & vegetal/grassy – Aromas include cooked agave, melon (cantaloupe), green bell & jalapeño peppers (the mesocarp, not the seeds), light caramel & vanilla, tropical fruits (pineapple), Thai basil, anise, citrus (lime) peel, salinity, minerality, & white pepper. PALATE: Super cooked agave sweetness & raw agave muskiness, baking spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom), vanilla, vegetal (green bell & jalapeño peppers), herbal notes (Thai basil, fresh mint), anise, melon (cantaloupe), caramel, minerality, salinity, & balanced oak/barrel notes – the natural sweetness continues to open up as the bottle aerates but it never loses its vegetal/grassy & earthy core – great balance of flavors. I love the green/vegetal notes in the mix here. MOUTHFEEL: Medium viscosity FINISH: 7 seconds – Finishes with some balanced oak tannins & anise balancing out the natural sweetness.

On the nose is some agave and butterscotch with a hit of alcohol. The taste is pretty light and not very complex. A touch of agave and vanilla. The finish is very muted but overall it isnt bad.
