Sounded interesting in concept, but fell flat in execution for me. This release was a bit too chaotic & thin on the palate.
Has that Mijenta unique and enhanced flavor profile. If you like Mijenta stuff then you’ll enjoy this one. It’s probably the most complex Mijenta I’ve had and I’ve had all the Mijenta line up (minus the cristalino) At 100 proof, it packs a punch of flavor!!
Nose: Inviting aromas of cooked agave lead the way, layered with rich butter, caramel, vanilla, and oak, accented by subtle baking spice, butterscotch, honey, and a hint of alcohol. Palate: Smooth and balanced, featuring prominent butter, caramel, vanilla, and oak, complemented by baking spice, butterscotch, and honey, with mild cooked agave and that Mijenta funk. Finish: Lingering sweetness from caramel, vanilla, and honey, with oak and baking spice fading into a gentle, buttery close. Overall, a solid bottle from Mijenta.
Nose:Cooked agave with an earthy vibe, plus caramel, vanilla, and butterscotch. Palate: Cooked agave and vanilla flavors that are super tasty! Not the most complex, but pretty good. Good balance of bourbon but not too much age influence for me to where it feels like a bourbon like an Arte 1146 or Tears. Finish: Decent, but it’s pretty short. Not the best bang for your buck, but still a quality pour. I like Mijenta, but for around 160 that I have seen it, I wouldn’t pay that. Value brought down my score quite a bit.
