Wow! Spicy with sweet cooked agave, and a great finish that lingers for awhile. Citrus and white pepper compliment the sweet cooked agave. If you get too much heat just let it open up 10 to 15 minutes and enjoy!

Bright minerality and wet earth open the experience, alongside clean agave and a hint of citrus. Floral notes lift the profile, while cinnamon adds a soft spice. There’s a subtle fermentative brightness - likely from the use of IPA style beer yeast, that lends a faint bready, yeasty character, adding complexity and a lively aromatic edge. Palate & Mouthfeel: Thin but oily, the palate showcases agave front and center. Floral tones emerge first, then shift to black pepper, generous cinnamon, and a whisper of anise. The IPA yeast contributes a slight fruitiness and faint hoppiness in the background, enhancing perceived brightness and layering alongside the citrus, minerality, and earthy notes. Finish: Spicy yet balanced, the finish carries cinnamon and pepper that gradually fade into lingering agave sweetness. There’s a faint, unique yeast driven tang that adds intrigue without overpowering, while a touch of alcohol provides energy and lift. The earth and citrus notes persist, giving the finish a clean, textured vibrancy. Final Thoughts: The nose shows heat, but the palate is unmistakably agave-forward. IPA style yeast adds a subtle fruitiness and fermentative brightness that enhances complexity. Spice lingers on the finish, balanced with agave and a trace of alcohol, making this tequila expressive, lively, and thoroughly engaging.

Vessel: Glencairn Nose: Black Pepper, Citrus, Earth, Papaya, Melon, Agave Palate: Cream Soda, Marshmallow Root, Agave Black Pepper Finish: Earth, Limestone, Honey, Cream Soda, I can't really say anything bad about this one. It's got character from start to finish that doesn't seem to let up. The nose gives off sweeter, earthier, fruitier vibes, where as the palate and finish give off sweeter and slightly herbal vibes. The way many of us often review tequilas sheds light on 3 stages (Nose, Palate/Taste, Finish); this feels like 2-2.5 stages because the palate and the finish remain so true to each other, outside of a couple of very minor nuances; it feels like they are almost one piece of the experience. Cachasol doesn't try to be overly complex. It knows exactly what it is and it does it well. This may not be the profile I reach for everytime, but I would be particularly remiss if I didn't speak on its boldness, and quality. Definitely recommended to anyone who prefers a sweet and earthy profile!

Cachasol blanco Nayarit agave. Sayulita distillery. Uses IPA yeast! ABV 40 Sample from Brian Hames, Agave Swappers Nose is really good, agave forward, fruit, cinnamon, citrus, pepper Palate similar to nose with some minerality. Finish is nice, agave, mildly spicey Overall I was very impressed with this tequila.
