2002 legit non-diffuser juice. Too bad they don't make them like this anymore. Shame on Herradura. Herradura purchased a diffuser during summer 2001. By the time they received it, installed it, trained to work it, trial runs etc. it was fully working in late 2002. This being a 2 year anejo, means it was made aka cooked in 2000, barreled, then aged 2 years, then bottled in 2002 makes it legit juice!

This was from a blind tasting. Aroma: There's is a very light raw agave, sweetness, pepper, citrus, mint, herbal and flower aromas. Flavor: Very light cooked agave, citrus, vegetal, grass, orange peel but is overpowered by strong flower, herbal notes, for me has a medicinal and soap taste. Has a sweetness to it but taste artificial. Finish: its a very light tequila, no complexity, short to med finish with a lingering after taste that i wasn't a fan of. Not for me. Revisited this again and was still not a fan of it all. Wouldn't recommend, it might be ok for a cocktail but still would choose others at that price point.

Underwhelming, flat. Very little agave flavor, a slight hint of pepper, artificial fruit flavor. I would pass on this bottle if looking for quality additive free tequila to enjoy the true beauty of what tequila can be

Conditions: 30 minutes rest in a Kenzie, room temp, outdoors, ambient temp 72 degrees Appearance: silvery water white, pronounced even legs against glass possibly hinting at sugar, alcohol content and / or viscosity Aroma: light pronounced lemon-lime soda, grassy notes and raw agave. Have to really dig to divine the full scope on this one. Hint of popcorn (maybe the popcorn balls we used to eat as kids) as it opens up a bit with gentle swirls (many of them for this one) Taste: Initial: the sweetness on the initial taste hits first but it’s cloying: almost artificial tasting as the notes on the aroma are hard to detect now. Ethanol forward with very thin spectrum and still I search for agave on the mid and finish as the aroma seemingly promised. Third try: I’m not really getting a lot out of this except that sweet cloying ethanol with the faintest faintest echo of agave. I actually did the hand sanitizer test on this to see if a film was detected but I found none. One could speculate that this expression could be a diffuser made tequila designed for the cocktail set rather than the aficionado and for that purpose I imagine it would do the job just fine. This is a blind tasting. Mellow nose, citrusy and light on the agave. Taste is sweet, smooth, with hints of orange and tangerine. The finish is short, with a little burn and a cinnamon spice kick at the end. Would be better in a cocktail than as a sipper. My least favorite of the night, but not bad for an inexpensive tequila.

Nose-strong alcohol. Swift sweet smell In the palate- not much to taste. Just a touch of sweetness.
