This is a blind tasting. Mellow nose, citrusy and light on the agave. Taste is sweet, smooth, with hints of orange and tangerine. The finish is short, with a little burn and a cinnamon spice kick at the end. Would be better in a cocktail than as a sipper. My least favorite of the night, but not bad for an inexpensive tequila.

Nose-strong alcohol. Swift sweet smell In the palate- not much to taste. Just a touch of sweetness.

This one is tough for me to grade because this is the first time I feel like I’ve gotten a messed up product. I had my wife taste it as well and something is up with this sample. Fresh linen was the dominant smell which evolved into an unpleasant taste of lavender and dryer sheets. There was a strong chemical component to the taste as well. I’m not so sure about this one unfortunately. Edit: After the private tasting, I realized that it wasn’t a bad sample…

AMM Blind. I wanted badly to edit this one after locking in my answers. This has a strong minty, alcohol aroma with a bit of agave left. The taste is better than the smell for myself. The taste has quite a bit of fruit (fake), the mint is still strongly there with anise, mineral and some agave. It leaves a light fruit finish that is medicinal.

Alcohol, medicinal, astringent, fake fruit finish. This is what diffuser/column distilled tequila tastes like

I do not care for el jimador and never have liked it since i started drinking Tequila 20 yrs ago. my rating here on TMM is for their current diffuser crap. this being said, I tried a sample of the 2001 blanco, thanks to junior zander. here's my review for the 2001 blanco... the nose is fruity and pleasant. some yeast, a little agave on the palate and some pepper on the finish. I would rate this 2001 expression low 80s, which is much different than I rate their current juice. Note: Herradura was all stone/brick ovens and roller mill prior to the diffuser. Apparently, they installed the diffuser around 2001. so zander got one of the last good bottles!

Retasting the blanco. Aroma has some hand sanitizer and green agave. Taste is suspiciously sweet bit decent agave flavor. Finish is rough. Medicinal aftertaste. Here are updated notes from a blind tasting: B2 Aroma is nonexistent. I’ve warmed up properly and using a good glass. Still nothing. Maybe light minerals. Taste is all alcohol heat. Nothing pleasing. Slight medicinal on the backend. Finish is bitter and medicine. I don’t get additives but is this diffuser? Score 61.

Lots of pear in aroma. It could be from additives to mask the diffuser.

This isn’t as bad I remember, tons of mint and sweetness. Makes a decent margarita but don’t serve this neat to anyone who you want to come back to your house.

Trader Vic’s well. Maybe some off notes. Better than I was expecting. I still like cimmaron better.

Aroma: (19) agave, black pepper, floral Taste: (21) agave, black pepper, & citrus but still taste alcohol. Finish: (19) quick with agave Overall: (63) I tasted along with Hornitos. El Jimador was better than Hornitos but same price $27 value (4). There are better tequilas at the price point.

Not great by any means but the $21 price tag add points for value.

I let it sit for a bit before tasting. aroma: alcohol but as if this was a mouthwash (not overpowering but you know it's there), sweetness maybe cooked agave, a hint of vanilla taste: alcohol, very soft and subdued flavor profile, mint, sweetness There's better options out there, I probably won't drink it unless it's my only option.

Its aroma has a faint hint of something familiar. After a few seconds of puzzlement, you’re suddenly disappointed to peg it as finger nail polish remover. Upon tasting it raw, the disappointment grows. But, at least its flavor is weaker than the remover. There are worse tequilas. Hiding this tequila in a margarita works about the same as hiding an old sock in your fresh laundry. That sucker still makes itself known.

Not Worth It Nose: Strong alcohol dominates, with barely any agave or citrus notes. Taste: Harsh and one-dimensional, with a metallic aftertaste. Texture: Thin and watery, lacking smoothness. Finish: Short, bitter, and unpleasant. While it’s cheap, the quality isn’t there—even for mixing. Skip this one and look for better options at the same price. Rating: 3/10.

Lower rating but seen this at most if not all bars. Fairly smooth especially considering it to be a fairly cheap price. There is better but if you are willing to sacrifice quality for price would recommend.

Good entry level tequila, perfect for mixing. One of the few slightly sweet blanco tequilas. Good value for price. Tequila for mixing and ok for sipping
