“Nose gives off a strong Spearmint scent with some light floral notes. There's some bite of agave bitterness in the front end, followed by a Spearmint taste the resemblance to mouth wash is undeniable. There's a raw agave bitterness that come in the after taste to round out the flavor, which is a welcome change from this mint heavy tequila. It's an interesting tequila as it's a flavor profile I don't usually come across. However i have to say that mint flavor overpowers any nuance of agave sweetness for my taste, this will not be a tequila I seek out again, at least not this batch.”

“It taste like tequila should taste, meaning it doesn't taste of artificial flavor, there is nothing mind-blowing about this tequila a bit of agave a bit of anise some vanilla some charcoal. What brings up the rating is the price as they are more expensive tequilas on the market of much lower quality. Nom 1111”

“La Gritona has a light agave flavor like the steam coming off a tequila still, just a whisper of agave on the lips. We get some herbs (Spearmint) and light vanilla. The scent on the nose is that of dry hay, I can almost smell the farm where the agave was grown. The most important tasting notes are mineral water, and a metallic (cold steel) taste that's not a negative just an observation slight bitterness also. This is a light tequila with some complexity if you look for it. Needs a bit a water to open up. As much as i like this tequila im not 100% it's additive free. For Around 30 bucks its worth it. Its over price at 40. Nom 1533”

“This is a bland tequila not exciting at all, lite flavors of charcoal, and a lite sweetness that you normally find in cheap tequilas. The mouth feel is also very thin. This is a tequila that wants to be a vodka, you might as well buy Espolon tequila as it's few bucks cheaper. Too light to drink in a mixed drink (no flavor) and too boring to drink straight. The only thing this has going for it is that it doesn't taste like gasoline. ”
