This was my first time trying any expression from Lost Lore. My favorite local tequila bar got a small sample bottle from a friend and we poured it out of a tiny sample bottle marked up with a Sharpie…They way I prefer to try tequila for the first time! I was very impressed with this repo. I’m typically a blanco drinker (especially high proofs) but I found this to be very enjoyable. Great nose with cooked agave sweetness, cinnamon and pepper. On the palette I got lots of cinnamon, chocolate, black pepper, honey and a bit of cardboard-like dryness on the finish. Overall, very well done by Lost Lore and the folks at 1414!

Something almond/cherry going on here that I don’t love. Still roasted agave to be found on the nose, but I’m not getting it anywhere on my tongue. I had huge hopes after trying the blanco, this just doesn’t have the same charm.

This one opens with a rich nose full of cooked agave, caramel, and a light dusting of cinnamon. On the palate, it’s smooth and agave-forward — exactly how I like it. Notes of vanilla and buttery sweetness round things out beautifully, giving it a soft, creamy texture without being heavy. There’s just enough spice to keep it interesting, and the balance between sweet and dry is spot on. The finish lingers with warmth and subtle oak, leaving a clean, satisfying fade. Bold yet refined, this is a fantastic reposado that shows just how good classic craftsmanship can taste.

Nose: vanilla / sweet agave cooked / caramel/ butter / cinnamon/ banana/ melon / hint of tangerine/ anise / hay / nutmeg/ chocolate/ molasses/ maple syrup/ cream soda Taste: sweet agave cooked / vanilla/ anise/ caramel/ very light cinnamon / banana/ melon / hint of lime / hint of tangerine / hint of spearmint/ peppermint / tea / nutmeg/ chocolate/ molasses/ maple / cream soda Finish: very low viscosity mouthfeel/ not quite watery/ enjoyable agave, vanilla, and cinnamon keep a very big brand taste grounded with some very tasty barrel notes. Lingering sweetness and vanilla keep going while the cinnamon and pepper notes are incredible and let balance/contrast of sweet and spicy ride off into the sunset. This reposado’s one BIG trick is the sweetness that is balanced with barrel notes that keep it from flying apart. The united flavors blend into a singular taste of agave/vanilla/cinnamon that is so enjoyable.

Nice nose with agave, oak, cinnamon earth and minerals The taste is agave forward with butterscotch, oak, cinnamon, vanilla and butter. This is a very good repo but there are better from 1414.

Cinnamon, Oak and Vanilla on the nose with some burnt sugar you may find in a toasted marshmallow or creme Brule. clinging to that strong sweet potato scent you get with cooked agave. Taste is incredibly smooth and oak forward a little hint of hay and a finish that remains true to the nose. I get strong roasted marshmallow on the finish. This one is lovely to the very end. Solid Repo here!

Good barrel notes if you like your Reposado to lean more wood than citrus, light cooked agave, spicy. Nice finish.

Nose Caramel and vanilla emerge first, followed by rich cooked agave with underlying fruity notes. It offers subtle aged aromas, but the real depth shines through on the palate. Palate It starts with a peppery agave and sweet punch, then layers in vanilla, cinnamon, baking spice and a hint of peanut butter. Oak provides a solid backbone without dominating, keeping everything balanced with fruity undertones and agave at the forefront. Finish Warm, sweet, and spicy, lingering gradually with vanilla, baking spices, and a hint of oak for a smooth, satisfying aftertaste. Initially, I thought this bottle was decent, but it lingered on my shelf untouched for a long time. Looking back, I’m not sure why! I must have underestimated it, because it’s awesome if you enjoy a hint of sweetness that enhances rather than overshadows the vibrant agave character!

Received a sample from Agave Swappers Nose: agave, alcohol, and just a bit of barrel influence. Pretty light repo as far as color goes. Taste: agave, some light vanilla and baking spices, maybe a touch of leather. I think it might benefit from sitting in the barrel a little longer. Finish: medium length for me. Decent kick of pepper. Overall: not bad, and not sure on price, but I’d drink it again.

Sweet aroma tinged with agave. Very clean up front. Remarkable amount of flavor in this, relatively, pale Reposado. Fruit, vanilla, and cinnamon on the tongue. Ever changing. Lots of pepper at the end fading rather quickly though. Not lingering.

The first thing I notice is the aroma – a rush of cooked agave, bright citrus, and a peppery kick. Taking a sip, the cooked agave is there again, front and center, followed by that same black pepper spice. Then, I get a distinct oaky note. What's really interesting is how it plays out on my palate. It feels like it's building up to something, almost like it's going to get really hot and spicy, but then it just stops right at the edge. Instead of a burning sensation, it leaves me with this smooth, sweet finish. It's a really cool, almost teasing sensation.
