NOM 1577 | (Agave Swappers) The aroma is subtle and grounded with cooked agave’s sweet prune essence, yeast, earth, and a touch of vegetal freshness with light pepper. Pleasant, though unremarkable, like Clark Kent in a glass. But the palate? That’s where the cape comes on. Bold cooked agave takes the lead, gripping the tongue with presence. Pepper, lime citrus, cinnamon, soft anise, and vegetal notes mingle with minerality and a saline thread, creating an expressive profile. The finish echoes a dry white wine, slightly bitter, tinged with tangy fruit, and marked by a clean, lasting freshness. Understated on the nose, but memorable in taste.

NOM 1577 | Sample from Matt through Agave Swappers. Thanks Matt! This is a little on the darker side for what I usually go for but it sure has a lot of character. Nothing offensive about it, just different, and a welcome change up from the lane I tend to stay in. Wish I had more.

NOM 1577 | This has a somewhat thick agave nose with nice aromatics carried by 45% ABV. A more finished product than the Emerald Spear which is being tasted side x side with this, there is a nice natural sweetness along with a tongue full of ethanol from the higher ABV. Thanks to agave swappers and Matt C for the sample.

NOM 1577 | On the nose: Toasted marshmallow, nuttiness, celery, earth On the pallet: Sweet cooked agave, toasted marshmallow, mint, earthiness, I’m getting heavyt toasted marshmallow on the nose. But let me tell you- that’s not a bad thing. I happen to love that profile. Like the G4 108 XM. It’s delicious! It’s a little thin for me. Could use more body. It leaves the pallet a little bitter. Overall, for $50. I’d be happy to have this bottle on my shelf. And I love the branding and bottle! I got this sample from Matt at Agave Swappers! Thanks Matt!!!!

Reviewing a sample I received through Agave Swappers: Nose: Sweet agave, honey, mint, earth, and a touch of citrus. Bright and clean with just enough depth to keep it interesting. Palate & Mouthfeel: Medium but slightly watery mouthfeel. Opens with a big agave punch, sweet but not cloying - followed by cinnamon, vegetal notes, and a citrus pop. White pepper shows up late with a slow, steady spice buildup. Finish: Sweet agave and cinnamon linger nicely. Not overly long, but satisfying. Final Thoughts: A little thin, but the palate delivers. Great balance of sweetness and spice with enough brightness to keep it lively. At $50 or under per liter for a 90 proof, it’s an easy buy. At $70, which I’ve seen some places list for - I’d pass. The flavor’s still there, but value starts to slip.

Vessel: Glencairn Nose: Sweet Agave, Vegetal, Artichoke, Pepper, Peppermint, Earthy Mouthfeel: Medium Bodied. Palate: Briney Pear, Cinnamon, Black Pepper Finish: Apple, Grapefruit, Pear and minerality. I've heard mixed opinions about the nose on this fella. I happen to love it. It's rich with cooked agave and full of sweetness but also leaves room to admire the vegetal nose to be offered. On the palate, I got a ton of Pear with secondary notes of black pepper and cinnamon. That Pear was present for the finish as well but seemed to fade into more crisper flavors; first apple, then grapefruit.

The nose is sweet agave. It is vegetal and a little earthy. Not my favorite nose but not bad. The taste is not balanced. I do get agave. Other than that it is mineral and earthy. Slightly buttery Bitter on the finish. Some may like this. I was hoping I did but overall I’d buy others over this one.

Nose: the nose has some errors; astringent and lactic / raw agave / earth / minerals / brine / citrus / hay / Taste: sweet agave cooked / peppermint/ hot cinnamon/ earth / mineral/ apple / lime/ brine / anise / bell pepper / Finish: low viscosity mouthfeel / lingering peppermint and spicy cinnamon / the final swallow ends on a very mineral and bittersweet note This blanco has some interesting notes, but overall it’s not one I’d recommend unless you’re looking for a budget high proof mixer.

Nose—Agave, wet earth, grass, and minerals. Taste—Sweet agave, jalapeño, and minerals. Nice legs on the glass and a long initial tingle from the 45% ABV, but it mellows out. So does the nose when you let it open up. This is nice to sip and would also make for a great tequila Mojito or Ranch Water. I love how the earthy flavor profile aligns so well to the brand name.

Sample from Agave Swappers Nose: Pretty mellow nose with a hint of cooked agave and some cherries. It sort of reminds me of the bottle of Arette Reposado I have, but a little less strong on the cherries. Taste: Cooked agave up front and bit of the cherries from the nose. This gives way to a somewhat bitter and medicinal flavor followed by a fairly intense peppermint. The finish is mostly the lingering peppermint flavors. Overall this isn't bad but I don't think it really suits my palate.

Tierra y Libertad Tequila is a wild ride from start to finish. The nose hits with a funky, almost cheesy aroma that grabs your attention right away, definitely unique and not for everyone. The palate takes a sharp turn, offering a surprisingly sweet profile with rich cooked agave, hints of vanilla, and even a light marshmallow note that softens the experience. The higher proof is well-integrated, making it an easy sipper, but the finish lingers with a bitter, slightly sour note that detracts from the overall enjoyment. An interesting pour, that may divide opinions.

NOM 1577 | To me It smells really nice, lots of sweetness from the agave, some green vegetal notes, a touch of citrus, with some minerality and salinity on the end. The palate is soft and delicate. Nice sweet agave, lime peel and green apple, mint, green bell pepper and a little bit floral

Hitting the content creator arena hard af this bottle was a bit over hyped. While the aromas are nice and nothing wrong with the juice itself it’s just not something to go out of your way for. I’ve recently seen this bottle go on sale for 35.99 and for a liter I’d rather grab Puro Porto which is less abv and money. Just a personal choice.
