For everything that screamed "apple" about Yeyo Sol Joven, this is one is its peach counterpart. I get peach, oak, cinnamon, on the nose peach, vanilla and brown sugar and cooked agave on the palate and peach, brown sugar, vanilla and almond on the finish. Peach is definitely the dominate theme here. I think the Yeyo solstice series did a great job at being original and bringing something new to the table. For as many marks as I give this one for it's uniqueness, it doesn't quite fit the bill of what I typically seek out in terms of a blanco or joven. It was a bit more fruity than the typical mineral, robust, or agave forward notes and aromas that I normally go for. That said, I really enjoyed this.

Unique blend of barrel and agave expressions. Limited release, different and inventive.

So this is interesting. The influence of the wine casks is definitely there and you get a peachy creamy taste with a very long finish. Add to that a nice level of minerality and you get a pleasant unique Joven.

The peach casks impart a unique flavor onto Yeyo’s profile. Similar to the sister release in that the peach is slightly overpowering and cuts the more nuanced notes out. That being said, it is a welcome experimental release that I thoroughly enjoyed.

Tasting this in a big Riedel Brandy Snifter after letting it air for an hour. I am using this glassware for bringing in all of the aroma. As a bias alert, I do like peaches more than apples. We will see if this holds true with Luna and Sol. On the nose, big and bold ripe peach. Again, I chose glassware to ensure I got all of the aroma possible. Like the Sol, no agave on the nose. Some minerality and earthiness. Some cinnamon and vanilla. Baking spices. On the palate, I do get some agave and a nice ripe peach. The notes also have vanilla and cinnamon and caramel. Also earth and minerals. A touch of alcohol. The finish, similar to the Sol, is a touch bitter and thin. It does have a nice peachy aftertaste. Again, like the Sol, I am probably not going to grab this very often. It’s good and I am happy I have it. However, I’d grab the Yeyo HP over either of these.

I’m getting more of the wine influence than peach. Still enjoyable, but I prefer Sol slightly over Luna.

“Luna” Celebration is aged in ex-bourbon & peach wine barrels. The barrels come through on the nose! Flavors are fruity with some bitter/tart, goes down easy. Would be very interesting in a cocktail!

Very unique aging with the ex-peach wine barrel. Awesome nose, not quite as intense as the apple cider barrel finish but great flavor. I got more cooked agave out of this one with a little less intense flavor from the barrel. Overall, very nicely done and unique.

PEACH! Because some of this tequila was aged in peach wine barrels, its nose and body have subtle peach notes. The rest of it was aged in bourbon barrels, and the oak flavors play very well with the peach. Overall, I’m a big fan.

This is an amazing Joven. I have to say I did like the sol better. The nose is fantastic a lot of cooked agave I pick up a little bit of a roasted hint and it is a little fruity. The flavors great a lot of coke agave I pick up some of the bourbon barrel notes of vanilla and caramel and the fruitiness that comes out with the peach really presents to me like pare. I also pick up some allspice and a little bit of plantains. Finishes really sweet and amazing .

Luna is so damn unique 65% repo rested in peach wine cask barrels really sends this joven to a massive aroma of peach in your glass. Taste is a whole unique flavor of agave married to that peach that is incredibly refreshing! With it being 43% it really packs and brings the flavor out of this bottle. Really well done Sergio!
