Special tasting with Hugo from Baja Betty’s! The aroma is just fantastic. Lots of tropical fruit flavor along with the cooked agave. The barrel flavor is subtle but perfect. The finish is also incredible. What a treat!
Aroma really good with sweet agave and light barrel notes The taste is completely different. Banana pudding meets bright citrus. Deep and pretty good. Finish is all citrusy sweet roasted pineapple cake.

Cooked agave and black pepper are up front with oak, vanilla, citrus notes. An earthy, vegetal, herbal profile compliments the carmel, butterscotch, and butter tastes. A lingering combines and balances all flavors together.
Aroma - cooked agave black pepper citrus herbs floral Taste - cooked agave black pepper mineral citrus herbs floral some cinnamon. This is a great bottle and right in line with the Ocho brand. High quality aromas and flavors of cooked agave, black pepper, mineral, citrus, herbs, floral. Hangs around and lingers in the mouth in a good way. You can sip or mix and enjoy to the fullest. A definite for your bar.
Good complexity in the aroma - cooked agave, floral sweetness, mint, butter. Those aromas come together to create a well integrated flavor. There is agave, there is some sweetness, there is some heat. And, not necessarily in waves but rather as a great combination of all those things. Medium finish. A great blanco tequila. I find the newer releases of Ocho to be a bit hit and miss. But, this one is a definite hit. 06-18-2026
2025 La Mesa barrel proof. Light amber in the glass, which is common with Ocho. Aroma of cooked agave, oak, alcohol, citrus, minerals and a hint of vanilla. Flavor of black pepper, cooked agave, alcohol, oak, citrus, minerals and vanilla. A long finish with the higher proof of 50.5%. Purchased in Mexico so better price/value.
