Unusual low rating with me for this Ocho. From aroma to finish it is not good. Fair at best. Aroma is heavy alcohol and bad funk. Taste and finish do not redeem the aroma. Does Ocho need volunteers to quality check. I raise my hand.
AMM 2025 Blanco Blind Tasting Kit: Aroma of black pepper, mint, celery, cooked agave, minerals with some bell pepper, maybe a hint of green olive. Smells clean. Really nice aroma. On the palate, much of the same mintiness cooked agave, black pepper, a little bit of honey with a good amount of minerality and wet stone. A nice oily mouth feel which seems indicative of good quality. The finish is lengthy with some pepper mid heat pretty lengthy overall seems like a high-quality Tequila. 2nd day- Aroma still really good. Likely best of all. Palate still really good with a very pleasant finish. I like this one a lot.

From a fresh opening, the aroma bursts with distinct petrichor, carried by the warmth of cooked agave at the forefront. With a bit of rest, the profile unfolds with steady cooked agave, bright lemon citrus and a soft yet assertive thread of ethyl that lightly singes the nostrils. On the palate, petrichor remains the star, delivering that classic earth-meets-rain freshness. As the bottle opens up and aeration smooths the rougher edges, the cooked agave engulfs along with an earthy, spicy depth. Supporting notes of lemon citrus, grassiness, cinnamon, almond, floral tones, mint, and raisin essence round out the profile. The finish fades worthy with lingering salinity, light grassiness, a dusting of cinnamon, soft floral tones, and a final whisper of sweet agave.
