This was a really enjoyable anejo. Balanced, approachable, and packed with classic flavors. It delivers a lot for the price, making it an easy one to appreciate. On the nose, cooked agave comes through clearly, layered with vanilla and oak. Black pepper adds a bit of lift, while caramel and butterscotch bring a smooth, rich sweetness. Cinnamon and baking spice round it out with a warm, inviting aroma. On the palate, the nose translates almost perfectly. Cooked agave leads the way, supported by vanilla and oak. Black pepper adds a gentle spice, while caramel and butterscotch give it depth and richness. Cinnamon and baking spice carry through and linger nicely on the finish. Overall, this is a well-made anejo that hits all the right notes without overcomplicating things. Extra points for value. It’s a great example of a flavorful, affordable anejo that’s easy to come back to.
