NOM 1107 | On the nose is some agave and butterscotch with a hit of alcohol. The taste is pretty light and not very complex. A touch of agave and vanilla. The finish is very muted but overall it isnt bad.
NOM 1107 | Vessel: Glencairn Nose: Agave Vanilla, Oak, Carmel, Butter, Slight Alcohol Palate: Vanilla, Almond, Alcohol Finish: Carmel, Grass, Oak
NOM 1107 | Nose a nice on this one. Sweet agave, dried fruit, plum, vanilla, caramel. The taste is agave and alcohol. If you dig deep enough, you can taste a few other flavors.
NOM 1107 | Nice sweet nose, palate and finish are just ok
NOM 1107 | * I tried this on a cruise. I have to try this again in a more private setting, because I was far from impressed* The aroma presents notes of citrus, minerality, alcohol, grassiness, minute caramel, a minuscule buttery tone, and floral hints. On the palate, scathing ethyl, black pepper, and orange/lime citrus tones are prominent with a floral undertone. The finish features fading grassiness and a thinning but potent alcohol presence, accompanied by a floral note.
NOM 1107 | Very light agave, whiskey notes, oak barrel and a hint of caramel. Easy finish but not overly strong in flavors. Less complex than other reposados but not a bad option.
NOM 1107 | This takes a good Blanco and lightly sweetens the product. A good repo.
NOM 1107 | tasted summer 2022
NOM 1107 | Great nose Flat flavor and finish.
NOM 1107 | Strong aroma of spice, funk, alcohol, and some fruit. The funk reminds me of tequila I’ve had from La Cofradia, kind of musty and earthy. Initial taste starts harsh but mellows. I’ve seen some people detect melon flavors; maybe it’s the power or suggestion but I do get some melon rind—a tad on the bitter side, with a light pepper finish. In all, it’s fine but a bit funky for me. I do appreciate that it’s additive free.
NOM 1107 | Well made, lightly barrel aged Repo, best of the celeb tequilas out there currently
NOM 1107 | Blind rated on 12/31/21 with El Tesoro (single barrel), Don Nacho, Fortaleza, Santo Fino & Azuñia repos. Mild cooked agave aroma. Definitely different taste than others, slight sweetness, maybe melon? Mild smooth easy finish.
NOM 1107 | Aroma: Light and vegetal, with hints of cooked agave and melon. Flavor: A nice, clean minerality, with a very slight sweetness to it. Finish: Cooked agave and black pepper on the finish. Some bite but very pleasant. Overall: A well made, easy to sip tequila that holds it own. Very light in color and on barrel influence.
NOM 1107 | A celebrity tequila that is additive free. l don't get much aroma but this shines with a smooth mouthfeel and finish. Flavors of vanilla, agave and pepper/spice. A fine effort and easy sipper.
NOM 1107 | Mmmmm….. agave, melon , vanilla, pepper. Very light but very good.
NOM 1107 | Prominent aroma of melon (cantaloupe), flavor of melon, mint, and vanilla. It has a musty finish. Full mouthfeel likely related to the aeration used in the process.
NOM 1107 | Cantaloupe and vanilla aromas with a rich mouthfeel. Slight barrel funk and spice on the finish. I always appreciate the rare melon aroma!
NOM 1107 | Santo Fino Reposado Nose Fermentation and minerality lead the aroma with subtle earthy character. The profile is clean and inviting without being overly barrel-driven. Taste Cinnamon and black pepper arrive first, followed by a pleasant cooked agave sweetness. The tannins add a gentle dryness that keeps everything balanced, while the agave still manages to shine through. Finish The finish brings a light tingle to the tongue with lingering oak and baking spices. As it fades, a soft vanilla-like sweetness emerges, giving it an almost dessert-like quality that rounds everything out nicely. Score: 88 A well-balanced reposado that lets the agave remain the focus while using the barrel to complement rather than dominate. The oak, spice, minerality, and subtle vanilla all work together, making this an easy pour to come back to. Repo Battle Standings Santo Fino Reposado – 88 El Tequileño Gran Reserva Reposado – 85 La Gritona Reposado – 82 I’m actually a little surprised by this result. Santo quietly jumped into first place without doing any one thing dramatically better—it just avoided the weaknesses of the others. That’s exactly why blind or semi-blind flights are so revealing. Sometimes the bottle you expect to finish in the middle simply delivers the most complete experience.
NOM 1107 | Nose: Light and vegetal. Cooked agave, melon, banana, milk chocolate, and butterscotch. The blanco character comes through clearly underneath the barrel. Palate: Sweet agave entry with a soft mouthfeel. Vanilla, orange, cantaloupe; green bell pepper, anise, and caramel building through the mid-palate. The vegetal core never disappears and the oak stays in a supporting role throughout. Finish: Balanced oak tannins and anise evening out the natural sweetness. Vanilla, mineral, cantaloupe, and a sprinkle of black pepper on the fade. Overall: A lighter, fruit forward reposado that rewards the patient sipper. Where it truly revealed itself was in a tequila old fashioned. One of the best I’ve ever had. The cantaloupe and vanilla play off the bitters and sugar in a way that bourbon simply can’t replicate. Serve chilled neat or build it in a rocks glass with a big cube and an orange peel. Either way the blanco’s personality stays intact and the barrel does exactly what it should
NOM 1107 | Aromas of strong alcohol, vegetal, and mint. Flavors of vegetal, alcohol, and mint. Maybe there's a hint of pepper. The alcohol numbs the taste buds a bit. Finishes with an alcoholic burn in the throat and lingering sweetness on the tongue. This reposado shares the same flavors with its blanco twin. It's pleasantly surprising to still taste hints of mint. But it's unpleasantly surprising for this reposado to smell, taste, and finish more strongly of alcohol. I don't know how that happened to a rested tequila. But, I'm honestly disappointed with this reposado, because it's Blanco counterpart felt so original. But this tequila is just too rough overall. I do not recommend buying this. Even if it were about half of its price of about $50 USD, I don't think I would recommend it. If you like vegetal tequila, maybe try the Santo Fino Blanco instead. At least they both come in 50ml bottles.
NOM 1107 | Soft agave, mineral, mildly sweet fruity aroma. Soft cooked agave, white pepper, slightly sweet flavor. Short finish. Somewhat bland for me.
NOM 1107 | No real aroma but decent flavor and finish. Not my fav but I will drink it if given to me. Definitely smokey like a mezcal.
NOM 1107 | Nom #1107 Aroma, honey was noted immediately with agave and vegetable, then sweetness of honey and Barrel spice. Palate, cooked agave , vegetal , with a creamy mouth feel from the honey notes. Shortly after the pepper came through with a mild burn, the notes of pepper and agave were prominent once it settled on the palate. Finish, medium with the sweetness of the honey and cooked agave , the pepper made it's way forward leaving my palate with a oily mouthfeel and a slight tingle from the pepper. Overall, the Santo Fino Repo gave a good sip with a smooth balance from it's vegetal and honey flavors , I would venture a nice mixed cocktail in the near future ,or revisit the neat sample of today.
NOM 1107 | Nose: Banana, cooked agave, peach, black pepper, cinnamon, nutmeg, melon Palate: chamomile, cooked agave, honey, caramel, melon, black pepper, coconut finish
