“Heavy charred barrel influence and campfire on the nose. Lots of smoke reminiscent of rustic mezcal. A little bit of cooked agave presence can be detected but not much. Lacks balance for my personal taste.”

“The wood is obviously the star in this 7 year extra Anejo. Dark copper in color, the slow thick legs coat the glass. Cedar, caramelized banana & vanilla on the nose. Full mouthfeel on entry with lots of butter cake followed by cigar box & leather. The finish again features cedar notes with molasses and wood resin. The slightly astringent resinous finish is the only thing that knocks this tequila down a few points for me personally. Overall a very unique and solid offering in this rare class of extra long aged anejos by Patron. Definitely worth trying and collecting.”

“Dark amber/copper color with thick legs. Spiced apple, cigar box & pumpkin spice on the nose. Mouthfeel explodes on palate and sides of tongue but not overly oily. Caramelized pear, custard, & cooked agave predominate the flavor profile. Finish is long with heavy cedar & cognac notes.”

“Medicinal metallic nose. Very thin body overall with a high bitterness. Acrid finish that resembles paint thinner. Unbelievably poor :-/”

“Not much to say here but "meh". Aroma is almost non-existent (slightly fruity but with solvent). Somewhat sweet on entry with caramel custard but hot with a burning bitter finish. Too many defects here to be worthy of repurchase :-/”

“Fairly decent anejo offering from El Tesoro. The aroma is faint but features toasted almond, vanilla & sweet potato. Flavor profile is masked by a higher than expected alcohol burn. Caramel agave, oak & a hint of smoke noted. Finish is fairly short with alcohol & black pepper notes. ”

“Straw colored anejo with fast legs. Aroma is lacking in volume and alcohol predominates. Slight cooked agave flavors with a faint hint of vanilla show up on palate but then get shut down by a mediocre bitter finish with lingering burn.”

“Wow...the anejo was great & this reposado is even more impressive. Paid $25 on close out & now I'm sad because it may be going away. Incredible vanilla butter cake nose. Mouthfeel is thick with caramel apple flavors rounded by a bit of sweet almond. Creamy body fades to a slight leather oak leading to a smooth long finish. The only thing I find wanting is a bit more agave and vegetal note balance but that is nit picking. If you like Don Julio 1942 at $100 you will love this tequila at $25.”

“I bought this tequila on close out at $25.00 per bottle. I noticed that this NOM 1420 has many different labels but not many ratings. This honey colored anejo has slow unbroken legs & great visual clarity. Big time aromas of vanilla custard, cooked agave & candied pecan are awesome. Nice mouth coating body delivers butterscotch, sweet potato & caramel followed by a light cigar box & baking spice finish. Overall a great tequila from a NOM I have overlooked. I will be trying more of their products soon!”

“Wow... I am in the minority here but I'm really unimpressed with this blanco. Fast broken legs with very little fruit or agave on the nose, just a faint hint of alcohol & smoke. Thin mouthfeel, bitter off flavors & an alkaloid finish. Not what I would expect from 7 Leguas. ”

“Alcohol gets in the way of a rich, buttery agave nose. Mouthfeel is a bit thin but features some vanilla & leather flavors. Finish is extended but with an acetone defect. Mixed bag in a pretty bottle :-|”
