Caballito Cerrero Chato Reposado 46
“Smooth and nice smell. For a 46% Alc it’s smoother than some of the 40% lol. Definitely a solid pick for tequila reposado that gets more agave taste. ”

“Aroma from the bottle is so rich in agave it’s appetizing. From a pour in my glencarin glass it is strong in alcohol and pepper smell. The flavor is spicy. The finish is mineral like sparkling water. It’s awesome as a mixer but an expensive choice. This a solid choice for enthusiasts but not for the casual drinker. No burn in my chest, it is pretty smooth like olive oil. I like to add limes and zero sugar ginger ale as a mixer with some agave syrup and salt. I recommend for those with a need for a stronger taste. ”

“Aroma is honey upfront then a praline cajeta scent. Flavor is spicy and oak. Finish is slightly tart and almost like a wine but holds up agave so that’s pretty cool. I’m not a big wine guy so this is something unique but not an absolute must have. I tried this neat with an orange slice for $36. ”

Tequila G4 Blanco Madera (Lot 03)
“A sweet agave aroma then a pepper and citrus twist. Flavor is spicy but after a few sips it mellows out to a sweet lingering. Finish is mineral. There is no bitterness. I can sip this all day. I think the fermentation is key. I purchased for $79.99 which I think is high but there’s a demand for this kind of line of tequila so it makes sense. ”

“Aroma is orange/caramel to ethanol. Flavor is citrus and intense oak. At first there is a burn and then it finishes bitter like an orange peel. I will use this as a mixer rather than to sip on. I got this bottle for $90.97 at Costco last year(2023) thinking it was a good deal but now it’s going for $70 or $60. ”

There is no burn. I think the bottle is overpriced. I got a neat pour in a snifter tasting glass for $150 on cino de mayo. VMC! ”

Clase Azul Ultra
“Aroma smells like bourbon very thick and woodsy. It does not smell like tequila. Flavor is straight maple syrup. It’s crazy how sweet this is. Not a single alcohol taste. Finish is soft not even a warmth to the mouth or chest. It cost me $250 a pour. I had this neat in a crystal double old fashioned glass. The bottle being up to $2000 is insane but it’s just a hype. ”
