“Aroma is heavy on the cement/earth when given a heavy swirl. Once it starts to settle there's a minty sweetness. Flavours are very earthy with brine, grass, pepper, spices like thyme, Mexican oregano. Very different flavour profile that you wouldn't expect if you stuck with the heavier marketed tequilas. A pleasant surprise and break from the "ordinary." There was some definite intent in how this was created which I appreciate. However, I'm not sure this one's for the masses.”

“Initially, your hit with agave on the first wiff. It's citrusy, like a peeled orange that has sat for a few minutes. It's spicy; most notably, black pepper. Theres a light, caramel sweetness infused with nutmeg. Palate delivers much the same with more intense spiciness but more white pepper than black. It also has some earthiness by the way of fresh cilantro. If the burn wasn't so harsh, this would be more than decent for the price. Nonetheless, still very content with this bottle/brand.”

“The aroma has some unique properties. There is heavy alcohol and a wet cement and earthiness to the odour. I find the pepper and citrus is overpowered by the other characteristics. The black pepper really kicks in on the tongue as does the alcohol. As a tequila advertised as additive-free, I find it underwhelming and not a good sipper. Worked fine in a margarita.”

“Aroma has some pepper, raw agave; and citrus is prominent. On the palate the citrus comes through as grapefruit with pepper being much heavier. I'm not sure why people have rated this so low. It's not amazing but stands out in quality as a mixto. ”

“A soft aroma of butterscotch and oak with a hint of clove - quite lovely. Taste of oak, vanilla, white pepper ripe bananas and ripe melon. Decent, especially for the price of Anejo. ”

“Mellow aroma with oak and caramel. Hint of agave. Falls pretty flat on taste. Low viscosity and bland finish. 100% agave - where is it?”

“Sweet agave and floral aroma with lime, pear, some pepper, hint of raspberry. Pepper heavier on palate, cinnamon, light fennel seed, lime zest, and a finish that's not too short or long.”

“Nose - Agave, earthy, pear, dried fruit, pepper. Taste - heavy burn, pepper, cinnamon, orange peel, burn eases on finish. Would make a nice Paloma.”

“Nose: lemon, agave, slightly floral and a little wet cement. Mouth: lemon, pepper, agave, and vegetal. Flavours are there but not intensely so. The bottle looks like a Patron knock-off. It's a decent tequila priced at $22 in Michigan.”

“Nose: light agave, some solvent odour and lime. Mouth: pepper, orange peel, some agave and artificial sweetness. Very similar to 100 Anos but less of the solvent astringency. Made from the same distillery.”

“Nose: Agave, heavy alcohol, vegetal: grassy, olive. Taste: pepper, agave, citrus, solvent again. The solvent, astringency come through too noticeably in high ABV cocktails like a Tommy's margarita. Altogether, I'll pass this one up. ”

“In Mexico 35%. Grass and pepper on the nose; some fruit. Sweet agave and pepper, some viscosity and buttery. Characteristics are not strong. Find some similarities to Don Julio. Heats a little heavy on finish.”

“I didn't find anything in the aroma that's real off-putting but it is overly sweet. Barrels notes and fruity. Taste, however, is both sweet and astringent with heavy alcohol. No surprise that the agave is barely there. As a low shelf tequila, I'll take it over Jose Cuervo's or Sauza's mixtos. ”
