“The aroma is nice, not all that strong. Agave mostly with slight vanilla and grass. It’s nice going down, the agave comes through balanced with oak and some citrus and slight sweetness. The finish is the weak point, it lingers long enough but changes to a bitter metallic taste. Good value though, I would buy again for sure.”

“I want to like this more because the price is great but can’t quite get there. The nose is light and non eventful. The flavor is ok, lots of alcohol and agave, plus some grass or something else I can’t place but it’s not bad. The finish didn’t linger but as I got deeper into my glass it got better. I would suggest anyone try this and I am eager to mix it but not the best sipper for me.”

“For $22 I don’t think I expected much, this is ok but has a strange flavor, I can’t really place the profile but tastes a little medicinal with some agave, grass and alcohol. Finish is the same. Not sure I’ll get it again but might try mixing it.”

“If you don’t want to spend a lot of money this is a good choice. $18 + tax in WA. The nose is a little weak and slightly medicinal, drinking it I found it acceptable with agave, alcohol, a little vanilla and some anise. The finish is ok but after a minute or so starts to leave the alcohol taste more than anything which I didn’t love. Then I mixed it with soda and lime and it was quite good. For the price, buy this as a mixer and you’ll be set but decent enough to drink neat as well.”

“This gets better as I go, the aroma is subtle but good. Lots of agave, some pepper and oak and maybe grass with a hint of vanilla and some alcohol. The finish is good but just a little bitterness at the end. I like this, it’s a little over priced for my taste but got it on sale. I liked the 2023 Portero Grande a little more”

“Nose is good but not lasting. Taste is agave with a little sweetness, oak and pepper. Finish is good and lingers a bit with a little alcohol. Overall I like it and not sure why Don Julio seems to be a punching bag for many, this is better than what I see here but we all have different tastes.”

“This is a great blanco, very smooth with a light and pleasant aroma. The flavor is well balanced with agave, oak and a good amount of citrus but not at all over powering. The finish was ok, alcohol and pepper but ended a little sour. Overall great to sip on as a blanco and would be good with soda and lime.”

“Agave forward, citrus and vanilla follow. The aroma is pleasant but not strong, the finish lingers nicely but has a slight bitterness. Overall I like it, something is missing though, maybe body but I can’t decide what. I got a good value in Mexico on this but feel I would pay too much in the US. Recommended for those that love agave first and enjoy a classic reposado.”

“I might need to revisit this one. I love the blanco and thought I would like this better but the agave was stronger than I like and the flavor not as full. Along with the agave I taste oak and pepper up front and with the finish, a little citrus and vanilla but definitely background. The finish lingers well and settles nicely. Still good but for the price I like others.”

“I got this on sale and thought it was decent value. Not a strong tequila that’s fairly one dimensional and a little sweet for me but pretty good. Mostly vanilla, pepper and oak with some agave, relatively well balanced though for what it is.”

“Lot 186 - This is really good, the aroma is a little tepid compared to the flavor but I’m drinking it and not smelling it so fine with me. I taste a lot of cooked agave, earth and some pepper, a little citrus and slight alcohol but it all blends nicely. Good stuff for sure, not a bad value but it is a little pricey. Still worth it though.”

“I don’t drink a ton of blancos but I’ll be drinking this one again. The aroma is agave and a little pepper and it matches going down but with a little citrus and vanilla to round it out. The finish lingers with a little alcohol but this is a strong tequila and a good value.”

“I want to like this more, it intrigues me. I find this a little light throughout: color, nose, taste, finish. Not bad but nothing to make me love it. Lots of agave and a hint of vanilla, pepper, spice and alcohol but nothing overwhelming. Finish is relatively short but good. All in all it’s decent but I like others more at this price level. I’ll try some others in this line up.”

“I had Casa Noble years ago and liked it so not sure what took me so long to try it again. The first sniff gave me agave, vanilla, caramel and oak. After taking a sip that was all there along with a small hint of citrus. I like how the dominant flavor seems to change with each sip but the vanilla and agave are the strongest. The finish is decent and lingers longer with each taste. What pushed this up for me was the value, can’t remember if I got it on sale but was priced well. +++”

“Aroma is not strong, mostly caramel. First sip is a mix of caramel, vanilla, agave and oak. Not a lot else but it morphs into this mix of alcohol, pepper and agave. The finish is ok, not great. Overall it’s not bad, think I can do better though at this price.”

“Agave nose with pepper, a little sweetness but not as much as others notice. Flavor is not all that different with the agave and pepper dominating for me but some alcohol comes out. The finish is short which makes me take the next stop too soon but this is not a bad tequila, somewhat pedestrian but still good enough for me.”

“Vanilla and agave on the nose, a little spice. Agave is more forward on the taste while the vanilla takes a back seat and the oak comes out. Some alcohol that strengthens on the finish as does the pepper, I get some bitterness here and it detracts. Value is pretty decent, there are better but overall not bad.”

“Immediately taste the caramel, vanilla, oak and agave (burnt) in this. It’s good but not great, for a gran reserva I expected more. I hear no additives but not convinced l, however I always say who cares about additives if you like the flavor? I might buy another bottle but have others I like as much or more in this price range.”

“I might need to update as I just opened the bottle but as of now: pale color with a nose of cinnamon and some sweetness. First taste for me is overwhelmingly cooked agave but I don’t mean that in a negative way. There is some spiciness (pepper) and a bit of alcohol, both linger along with the agave for a decent finish. Price was a little high for me given what it is but I am still open to updating after the next taste.”

“I was pleasantly surprised by this. Sure it seems to have additives but if I like it I don’t mind. Didn’t get the vanilla much, only as a lingering taste a few minutes after my last sip. Much more oak, agave and a nutty flavor. Bit of a sweet aroma that wasn’t strong, and a little pepper which helps make this better. Goes down easy, was a pretty good value of $32 on sale before another $8 in tax. I would buy it again and think it’s a decent repo, especially for those newer to tequila that want to go beyond really sweet brands.”

“The more I sip on this, the more intrigued I am. It has a little more bite than I like but it’s not too harsh. Lots of agave, pepper and oak and those 3 dominate. The finish lingers which is great, I’ve had the añejo which I prefer but would buy this again.”

“Disclaimer here - not a big cristalino fan to begin with. This was a gift, I’ll share with newer and less fussy tequila drinkers and my wife might love it. I find it far too sweet and the cake batter taste is strong, I might have this as a dessert at times. All the sweetness overpowers everything else, it’s over priced but since I didn’t buy it I’ll keep it.”
