Don Diego Santa Añejo
“When I first opened this bottle initially, it was not a great experience. Everything seemed harsh at first. A lot of alcohol on the nose and a lot of bite and a hot finish. I shelved it after sipping neat for about a week. Now I’ve been going to this bottle and it’s mellowed out so much more. This tequila is actually pretty damn good! Before rating was low 70s and now after letting it sit a bit it’s definitely around a mid 80! ”

Tres Generaciones Añejo Tequila
“Horrible fresh open bottle and got worse after 30 days opened. Not great at identifying flavors but I got a lot of tobacco, alcohol, and pepper. Something says leather in the flavor too. Would not recommend if it were the only tequila in the state. ”

Teremana Tequila Blanco
“Smells of alcohol and a tiny trace of fruit or agave. Literally faint trace. El Tesoro side by side to this tequila and quality in aroma and taste is night and day favoring the el tesoro. Alcohol flavor is is strong. No warmth (not necessarily bad) pepper on the finish. I would shoot this or mix it. Sipping is a no thank you. To be fair, the bottle was chillled a bit. I’ll give it a try again neat and room temp. For me, I would not purchase to sip, just mix. ”

El Tesoro Tequila Añejo
“Batch A-012 , NOM 1139~ aroma has a beautiful vanilla and buttery note and I’m picking up a lot buttery caramel too. Has a strong sense of agave and earthy to it. As it sits 3-10 minutes it opens up more sweetness. Taste is agave and sweet caramel with vanilla and a buttery pepper finish. It’s smooth and lingers in a great way!”
