“Had it at the bar. Honestly you do get vanilla and cotton Candy on the nose. Minimal to no agave. Slightly alcohol finish but covered but by additives. I see why additives cover up alcohol finish and this is a popular option. I would probably go to this again but not over an additive free option. ”

“Not getting much nose but I get minerals, earth, agave, vegetal, not much alcohol on the nose which is good because this is 43% On the palate it is nice, more agave then on the nose. mineral, earth, pepper, mint, Has a nice peppery finish but not burning sensation. Alcohol feels a muted which again I think is good especially for being slightly over proof. This is really nice and enjoyable. Has that reposado warmth but taste like a blanco. ”

“In my glass: Mijenta Tequila Blanco Nose: I get a sweetness not sure if agave but I similar to other tequila’s that use Champaign’s yeast. Has a similar nose profile. I get a brine to the nose along with some vegetal notes. Taste: mint, pepper, agave, some brine, light citrus. Not as sweet as it is on the nose. ”

“Aroma: get hints of oak, berry, chocolate, agave Taste: finish is long, taste is semi sweet, chocolate, oak. Definitely tell it is an anejo because it hides some of the agave essence. I can see this as a good supper for a whiskey/bourbon spirit drinker. Or would pair well with a cigar or chocolate. Also pairs well with roasted nuts. Value is fantastic. Feels like something that rivals anejos in the 80-100 range. ”

“Aroma: clean and crisp, agave, earthiness and minerals, citrus/salinity. Very fresh smell. Taste, agave, get more of the cinnamon, pepper and barrel influence in taste, has a long finish and a little bit of a punch. Overall very good. Would prefer to drink this in colder weather to warm you up.”

“Aroma: I get salinity and agave. Some vegetal and citrus. Taste: agave. After it opens up I get some barrel influence, cinnamon, pepper. Mild vanilla. Not sweet. Has a longer finish. Peppery finish. Feel the burn more in the throat compared to others where I get it in the nose. I like this as a winter dipper. Will definitely warm you up. ”

“Smell is strong of alcohol at first. Needed to sip and let it open up a bit. After first sip, started getting hints of vanilla, barrel and cinnamon in the aroma. Flavors are very subtle, light agave flavor, alcohol flavor, some barrel influence, no sweetness but get mineral flavors and earth. A little spicy in the nose but not down the throat. Medium length finish. Better mixer then sipper. The value for price is good. ”

“In my glass: Codigo 1530 Reposado Nom 1500 375 ML bottle Taste caramel butterscotch and oak. Taste a sweet profile, after having tequila ocho blanco. Finish is stronger then some Blanco’s I’ve had. Overall too sweet for my taste. Paid $20 for 375 ml so at this price I would buy again for someone who likes a sweeter profile. Not getting too much agave flavor. More of a whiskey type profile to my palate. ”

“Has a nice complex aroma. I get brine, citrus, earth, vegetal. I get the smell like if it were the salt rim of a margarita. Have been enjoying more as I drink it. Makes a great margarita. Nice taste. That is complex. Nose translates well to the palate with agave, brine, citrus minerals. Overall one of my favorite blancos. ”
