This high proof needs to open up at first, nice mouth feel, cooked agave, light pepper, lemon citrus notes. Patron did a great job here.

The nose is a bit muted at first, so give this time to open up before getting serious. Aroma is minerals, earth, citrus, black pepper, and caramelized agave. Flavor and finish are the best part. More cooked agave, olive, brine, and earthy. Finish is a long olive and brine sensation that I really enjoy. Mouthfeel is thick. Patrón deserves credit for releasing a product like this. (This is not a paid review, and I purchased the bottle in a random retail store. Just making that clear.)

Nose: Astringent vanilla (sounds bad but it’s quite nice actually), fresh cut aloe vera, shea butter, faint cocoa, orchids/lillies, slight savory tomato. The nose is very complex because it changes each time you visit it. There is an astringency that I deducted one point for but the clean complexity of aromas is excellent. Palate: Sweet plastic with some aloe and cactus clorophyl notes right up against each other. Then a flash of black and red pepper, slight yeasty bakery note with some very yellow (grass fed) butter notes at the end Finish: mostly the aloe, pepper, shea butter, and tomato. Clean, sweet in a very natural way with nice minerality. Overall: I’m so stoked that Patron is making this. It’s only $46 here in Austin, TX and it is truly excellent for a great price. The proof is really hardly detectable after it’s opened up. It’s like Zumbador and Tapatio had a baby

Aroma - alcohol, agave, mineral Taste - very light sweetness, agave, hint of mint and a little thin, some burn Finish - sweetness fades fast, a little short or dull but pleasant. I would drink again and recommend. At $50 it’s a great bargain.
