Clase Azul Reposado
“Overwhelming sweet, vanilla and honey. I wanted to see what the hype was about and I see why people like it. Not for me though. ”

Arette Artesenal Blanco Suave
“Nose: distinctly grassy, some mint, vegetal, cooked agave Taste: distinctly earthy, vegetal, has kind of a cement note as well Finish: medium, bittersweet Overall, I found this distinctly earthy and lowland agave. It’s just a very old school tequila that may really scratch the itch if you want something with that profile. I enjoyed this neat but I’d be very curious how it would fare in a margarita. I was lucky and found this on sale for about $35 which I would buy again at that price. For the normal retail price of $52 around here I don’t think I’d get it again. ”

Yeyo Reposado (2023)
“Barrel #4 from Old town tequila Nose: I know it sounds crazy but to me the nose on this reminds me of fruit stripe gum. Very pleasant and fruity with hints of agave. Taste: fruity, cooked agave, orange, light barrel notes. Overall the flavor is pretty light as expected from an 80 proof tequila. Finish: short to medium but enjoyable. There’s an oily mouthfeel that lingers for a bit. I’m a huge fan on yeyo’s blanco, particularly the new edition in the updated bottle. I think they’ve knocked it out of the park again with this delicious repo. ”

Cazcanes No. 9 Joven
“NOM 1599 Nose: Cooked agave, yeast, butter, honey Taste: incredibly rich and creamy, sweet agave and juicy orange. The 100 proof is covered well Finish: long and complex, the sweetness hangs around for a bit and makes me want another sip I’d heard a lot how this tequila was “funky” or “cheesy” but I don’t pick that up much at all. I think the creamy texture of this sets it apart from almost anything I’ve had before. I think they did an amazing job putting together this blend and this is now one of my favorites of all time. ”
