Siembra Valles Tequila Reposado
“Wow very impressed with this one. My tasting notes with a new bottle and no time to breathe: Light nose Oily but not viscous Tobacco Citrusy - orange peel? Medium to long finish Very Smooth - compared to my Celestial and Suerte repos this is easy drinking. Light, fresh and overall very pleasant, but there's a barrel flavor but not from time spent in contact with the wood if that makes sense. This is my favorite tequila. Problem is, I had to rely on the kindness/obsession of others to get my hands on it because I cannot get this in my state. ”

Terralta Tequila Blanco
“This blanco is different from anything else I have sipped. The Terralta features a good amount of earthy minerals, anise, some agave, and like other people have mentioned, there is a mushroom flavor and aroma. Depending on mood and other tequilas I am tasting, I either enjoy drinking the Terralta or I steer clear and stick with my Siete Leguas which is my staple blanco. I think this may be better suited for those who are fond of the unusual, and appreciate the uniqueness of the flavors offered here. If you like a more traditional blanco this may not be to your liking. ”

Tequila Celestial Organic Reposado
“Great nose, appealing taste, and decent finish for the price. Good agave throughout with spice, sweetness, oak, and a little alcohol bite. This opens up with some air and is just a good repo. Would buy again. ”

Don Julio Blanco
“Butter and an ok amount of cooked agave. Better than expected, but nowhere near as good as Siete Leguas. ”

Suerte Reposado
“Surprising flavors in the repo and the aromas are superior to other at this price. After it cools down (breathes) this is a very enjoyable tequila. Great combination of agave touched with a bit of oak and melon with green vegetation. Suerte made another good one. ”

Olmeca Altos Reposado
“Some good characteristics here, but overall unrefined. Good entry point for sipping tequilas as there is little investment, but there is a good amount of cooked agave aromatics to entice the un-initiated. ”

Suerte Añejo
“There's something about this tequila that is difficult to explain, but it keeps me coming back to it over and over. There's a lightness that comes through, which I find uniquely appealing. Edit: After revisiting this Añejo a few more times I am finding it to be lacking compared to others in this price range. There is something that is not carrying over from the repo which for me ranks higher. This is not a particularly smooth or flavorful Añejo, but there's nothing "wrong" with it either. This is a suitable middle-of-the-road tequila. ”

“Not as smooth as the flavor, price, and brand reputation would suggest. ”

San Matias Gran Reserva (US)
“Smooth yet not overly oaked. Still getting agave among the usual notes for an XO. Hard to beat for the price and available at my local liquor store. GF dislikes most tequila, but enjoyed this for it's closer resemblance to a whiskey. ”
