“Purchased at Wild Grape Wine Company in Weyauwega, WI. $43 Really nice agave nose without a lot of heat so the agave shines. Good mouthfeel with spicy, minty and peppery agave flavors that shine off of the heat. Finishes with a nice hot sweet agave with that lingers. Excellent for the price. ”

“Nice agave nose with some heat in the back. Great agave taste that keeps coming. A little heat in the back that cleans up with some nice lingering agave and heat. So good agave. I like it better than still strength. Better smell and I can drink more because of the lower ABV. ”

“Lot 39-S. Los Abuelos. Brought back from the distillery. Agave nose with some heat. Great mouthfeel. Slick and smooth. Great agave flavors punctuated with some nice heat that builds quickly in back, but cleans up nice in finish. So good it keeps you wanting more. ”

“While watching Mexico beat Ecuador in the round of 32 in the World Cup. Finally caved and bought a 375ml of this as I felt I should try this even though I know it’s over priced and hyped. And since a 375ml bottle is about the cost of three pours of it in a bar, (and I get to keep the bottle) why not. Nice copper color, but likely coloring. Muted cinnamon smell with hints of clove, barrel, and agave. Thick mouthfeel with a weird sugary texture. Some nice cinnamon toast flavors. A little vanilla in back. And a little too much head in finish that lingers. Not bad. But yes, overhyped and over priced. ”

“Free house shot at La Pina before Manuscrito tasting. Subtle fleshy agave smell with some rind. Muted agave notes up front, but the agave increases nicely toward the back where it picks up a little heat. Into a hot agave finish that sits well. ”

“Purchased because I wanted a 375ml bottle and this was about all they had at the ABC in Lake Wales, FL Smell is very green agave with a vanilla. Taste is similar which is a little off putting. The vanilla taste a little fake and is likely an additive. And that vanilla taste continues throughout. Finish is a little more spicy and alcohol hot balanced with that vanilla. This sorta sucks. But it’s cheap. ”

“Subtle tan color. Uncooked green agave smell with a little rubbing alcohol. Spicy fresh agave taste with a little vanilla into a similar finish with a little heat. I believe the vanilla notes are from the barrel, but they don’t complement the agave. And the agave notes are too green. ”
