“I ordered several bottles through raretequilas.com, and although my shipment arrived late, I appreciated their gesture of including a complimentary single airplane bottle of Cava de Oro. The aroma was very subtle, featuring only a faint hint of sweet vanilla—the only redeeming aspect. On tasting, however, the flavor was overwhelmingly sweet and entirely lacking the authentic agave character that is essential to true tequila. In my opinion, it doesn't taste like tequila at all. Overall, this product is comparable to, if not worse than, Casamigos, and I would not recommend it. ”

“I tried Batanga Blanco Tequila at a local bar in Eugene, OR, and honestly, it didn’t do much for me. The taste is pretty basic, with a sharp bite that doesn’t get rounded out by any real complexity or flavor. It’s fine for mixing, but I wouldn’t reach for it if I was looking to enjoy a good pour. Overall, it’s a bit underwhelming, and I probably wouldn’t go for it again. ”

“Disappointing Experience I had the chance to try both the Campo Bravo Blanco and Reposado Tequila during a recent visit to a Mexican restaurant, and neither one impressed me. The Blanco had an overly sharp taste, with a harshness that made it difficult to enjoy. The burn lingered too long, and it lacked the natural, clean flavor I expected from a good tequila. Both varieties came across as artificial and lacking in the depth and quality you’d want from a tequila. I wouldn’t recommend either. ”

“Don Julio Blanco: Not Worth It Don Julio Blanco doesn’t impress, especially considering the price. It’s not as good as some make it out to be, and the flavors are pretty flat. The agave taste is there, but it’s pretty weak, and the finish is underwhelming. That said, it’s still better than Casamigos, which is way too sweet, and a huge step up from Jose Cuervo, which is just not good. Save your money—there are much better tequilas out there. ”

It’s a good sipping option, and while there are better XA out there, the price is hard to beat. I would recommend you try it for yourself and you be the judge. As for me, once my bottle is gone, I won't repurchase another one but would have it again if someone offered a glass. ”
