“Nose: Cooked agave with black pepper attacking my nose immediately.Herbal notes as well and some citrus Palate/mouthfeel: Sweet agave, mineral, and pepper bomb. This is very complex and layered. Earthy flavors as well in there. Coats the mouth very well almost feels wet or buttery. Finish: long and warm finish. In a good way though it wasn’t overwhelming Tried this at the Volans event. I really enjoyed the mouthfeel and finish in this. It wasn’t overwhelming. The price is a bit steep for me but I will buy a bottle in the future. ”

“The nose nothing special. Cooked agave with minerality off the top. Palate/mouthfeel: Agave dominating the way then the classic El Pandillo pepper joins in. Sweet & spicy. Also get some citrus and mint. Silky and medium bodied Finish: short nice and sweet finish. Finished out with some pepper but not overwhelming Thoughts: combination of rain water, spring water, and well water does give it a different unique taste. Tried this at a Volans tasting. It was a treat”

“Nose: immediately get sweet cooked agave up front followed by some wet stone and some grassy notes Palate: soft and silky mouthfeel. Citrus and black pepper. Balanced palate and layered Finish: medium length with some pepper heat, of course you get lingering sweetness from the cooked agave. Overall clean no harshness Overall: I just this bottle more than when I tried this at the distillery. This is an amazing sipper very well balanced and layered. Deserves its praise ”

“Nose: strong agave with citrus and olive notes. Some earth/mineral notes lingering in there. Taste better than when I had it at the distillery Palate: slight oily texture with cooked agave. Balanced flavors of peppers, citrus, some vegetal notes. Finish: not much harsh alcohol bite to this. Finish was medium to long with the peppery heat. Some citrus and agave in there Summary: at 46 it won’t be as harsh as other SS. This is a real treat to get a real true authentic blanco. Balanced high proof blanco that is phenomenal ”

“Tried this at the Cascahuin distillery Wow this is different from everything I’ve tasted. Smoky smell and taste maybe some cheesiness in there. Not sure if I’d be down for a whole bottle but maybe! ”

“Tried this at the Cascahuin distillery Nose: clean, Cooke agave upfront. A lot of herbal notes, very strong in the nose Palate: well balanced and clean. Sweet agave up front, minerality, spice, some creaminess Finish: medium-long length. Agave with hints of grass, curious, smoke. Not overly oil with some texture Loses some points in value just because it is extremely overpriced at liquor stores if you can find it but that’s no fault of Cascahuin’s. Not sure what it retails at so I could be wrong ”

“Tried this at the Cascahuin distillery Nose: Sweet cooked agave, hints of vanilla, some citrus zest? Palate& mouthfeel: very smooth & creamy, the agave is upfront, but you do get some caramel from the oak and a peppery kick to it Finish: warm and clean with honey and baking spice lingering to give it a slight burn but still cozy Summary: 90/100 for me. Beautifully balanced and taste amazing neat. Such a blessing to be able to try a tequila that’s a blend of three blancos aged 190 days. ”

“Got a deal on 1oz pour at the Volans tasting event! Nose: deep cooked agave with caramel and vanilla inviting your nose in. Some oak and spice. Definitely one of the best smelling tequilas I’ve smelt. Even after finishing the 1oz pour in the glass I was sniffing the glass and smelling many different things. Palate/mouthfeel: silky and rich, agave was leading the way with butterscotch, pepper, and honey Finish: Warm and medium-long finish. I was getting so many flavors some agave, burnt caramel, and some oak as well Many people are likely discouraged by the price but I would say it is worth it. This is a treat! They put a lot of hard work into this and know what they’re doing. Was an honor to be able to sip this with Cristina during the Volans tasting event ”
