“NOSE: it teases vanilla and caramel, but then assaults you with high alcohol and doesn’t let you back into the aromas easily MOUTH/TASTE: ALCOHOL BURN. Somewhere behind the unpleasant level of fire are notes of vanilla oak, caramel, black pepper. FINISH: just unpleasant burn. It’s a value tequila that tastes like a value tequila with some character but overshadowed by the unpleasant side of it all. POSSIBLE ADDITIVES- flavor notes and body feel hint at them, need further tastes to confirm. But there is little enjoyable about this neat. Maybe it will be redeemed as a margarita or mixer?”

“What a difference from the blanco! So much better. If these are additive flavors, then they used a light touch. Enjoyable 11/17/24: caramel and cinnamon nose, but also… paper towel cardboard tube?? Taste is caramel and agave and cotton, ok really, toilet paper. Hmm. ”

“Drinkable but terribly unremarkable in flavor and aroma. Astringent mouthfeel and lack of flavor make it unpleasant to drink. So much better at this price point. (¡Tres Agaves!) Disappointing because of The Rock’s reputation. Definitely shows the flaws of celebrity-driven brands. Cough cough casamigos cough. ”

“Artificial vanillin aroma and taste dominate and overpower much else. So yes it tastes good. But yes, it’s an additive because my body reacted like it does to additives- heavy & sluggish. So I would recommend but mainly as a cheap mixer, if additives don’t affect you. Update: the more I drink this, the less I like it. The vanilla is cloying. Changed my rating from a 70 to a 57. I can’t recommend this anymore. This is a frat party tequila. Update 2: Changed it again to a 44. It’s the first bottle I’ve poured out before finishing in 25 years.”

“Nose is fun. Taste evolves with food especially cooked jalapeños, which pop an immediate cooked onion taste and buttery mouthfeel, followed by a lemon peel cleanse, ending with a black pepper sizzle and jalapeño spicy (from the jalapeño lol). Can’t wait to mix it!”
